Could be our new social media campaign #MWTGA
@ said:If there wasn’t more to the story the tigers would have **nipped it on the butt** immediately when it first broke. The fact that it took them a week to let Ivan respond showed there was things going on behind the scenes and to me that says only one thing, that Ivan wanted out and we put him back in his place.
@ said:@ said:@ said:@ said:Lol - you haven't NT - Tigerpower did.
I was agreeing with you.
What are you both on about. So let’s get this straight. Cleary compromised his personal relationship with Pascoe and Pascoe felt the need to let us know about it. He also felt the need to separate his friendship with Cleary in dealing with him meeting up with one of our competitors. But this meeting didnt have any affect or compromise his position as the tigers coach. Or lead to a legal letter being sent to the panthers. Not hereSay anymore it’s all out in the open. My ten year old gets it.
I am reasonably certain that if Justin Pascoe and/or Marina Go thought that Ivan Cleary had compromised his (Ivan's)position as coach or his professional relationship with the Wests Tigers Management or the playing group by talking with Penrith, the Wests Tigers Management would have undertaken legal action against him, as they said they would. Far from that, they have done what they can to ensure that Ivan Cleary will be here to coach the Wests Tigers until the end of his contract. From where I stand, that is an endorsement.
So presumably you know more. What exactly makes you so sure that Ivan Cleary's tenure is compromised?
Your coming to assumptions based on your opinion and so am I. The thing is I was one of Clearys vocal supporters. My opinion about him changed when word got out that he’d met with the panthers before our bulldogs game, that we so happened to lose. Looks like I wasn’t the only one to change my opinion of him as Pascoe reveals. The fact that Pascoe has had to separate his friendship and business with Cleary can only mean one thing that Cleary has done something to upset the business side. Now Pascoe isn’t going to come out and tell us Ivan doesn’t want to be here and we are forcing him. I think Pascoe and go are doing a great job. I also believe Cleary has put them in a no win situation. If they give in to Penrith then we look soft and if we keep him on and he has committed to panthers in 2021 then we look stupid. Do I have more info then you, no I don’t. It’s a matter of opinion and your take is different to mine.

I just see it simply. Whether or not Ivan wants to stay, He has been told by his boss he is staying to complete his contract. Pascoe and Go want him here as our coach to complete the plan he brought with him. They also want him here because of his relationship with the players. They are close enough to the action to evaluate whether his publicly perceived 'indiscretions' outweigh his usefulness as an employee. I'll go with their call rather than that of a bunch of disaffected fans. I really don't care about all the intrigue. To me it is drama for drama's sake. The media love it, it keeps them in business.
@ said:@ said:@ said:I ran into Moses Mbye on the weekend asked him if Clearly is staying he said he doesn't know either way …I find it terrible that he doesn't know so that's two players in the space of a week that doesn't know or can not answer the question

Then I asked him what his opinion of Brett Hodgson is he spoke very highly of him and said he is going to be a great first grade Coach I did not ask about Brett coaching first grade that was his Moses words
He also said Josh Reynolds is in Melbourne getting rehab on his shoulder
Moses is such a nice man so friendly and well spoken
Body language ha ha ha when I ask about Cleary he took a step back when I asked about Hodgson he took a step forward and smiled
Thansk for your continued updates. THis circus wont end until IVan comes out without a written statement and says what his intentions are. has he signed an agreement with panthers in 2021? what did he and the panthers talk about? This is worse than the JT/Farah saga.
Crap TP - what an agenda you have.
Cleary and the Tigers have a contract for the next two years - get over it!!!! Lol

@ said:@ said:@ said:If he's staying, he doesn't need to say anything, he's already addressed it. But then again. one statement isnt good enough for a lot of you. The club and/or coaches position has to be clarified over and over.
**So the fact Brooks and Mbye don't even know who is coaching the team next year sits well with you,** well it doesn't sit well with me, that needs in your words, to be addressed :crazy
I don't care either way whether he stays or goes, so i'm not losing sleep over it, no.
@ said:@ said:Simply if Ivan does not agree to extend his current deal with the club he WILL NOT be the head coach for 2019\. Everything should be finalized one way or the other prior to pre-season, but this is affecting recruitment big time & has already cost us one signing.
Thanks Pom.
This is exactly the reason I posted my strong post yesterday but people wanted to tell me I’m delusional. Ivan must extend or go. Far out! We need experienced players and it sounds like mr “on the bus” has cost us one, I’m so sick of mediocrity in all its forms. We finally look to be moving forward and this grub (Cleary) throws crud in our face.

What agenda do I have? Enlighten us lol.
I don’t have to get over it. Why would I want a coach who is being forced to be here on a legality.

Does he have a timeframe Pom by when he needs to extend his contract by (or jump back on the bus ) ??
@ said:i really dont get people on here that want to keep IVAN for 2 more years, and its nothing to do with him been a good coach for the next 2 years, its got to do with signing players over the next 2 years, because why the hell would IVAN have any incentive to sign good players to team he is leaving, and that is the whole point, its to do with moving forward and IVAN cant do that knowing he is just wasting time till 2021.
