Yeah, saw that post Barra and recall hearing words you quoted at the conference, being of present tense, not those quoted by Balmanian above, which is a definitive statement that would change my opinion on the situation and that is why I ask if it is real.

What exactly do you want him to say, as opposed to what he has said that doesnt agree with you?
I dont see what people are stressing about

Not sure who that’s directed at.
I don’t “want” him to say anything just be honest.

Have you considered the possibilty that he has been honest and it is the media who are dishonest?I have zero faith in news ltd/fox as they continually show they have no integrity

Yes I have…... that’s my point.

Glad this is a forum, we have so many experts on body language here face to face some of them may perceive what I think of them.

The trouble with most on here is that they wouldnt have a clue how to read body language….they only percieve to read it however it suits the arguement...

Ivan appears to be irritated by the same questioning over and over by the media...he stated that he has a contract to fullfil at the WTs and intends to honour it..

Read it how you like ...as for not saying anything as soon as others wanted him to say about the situation is because the media personell at the WTs probably instructed him how to respond..after all it is an organisation that has been belted from pillar to post in recent years through the media and they need it to change...

In the end it remains up to Ivan what he decides to do,its his life and career....we are only supporters and members of the club...we can love it or leave it...THATS ENTIRELY OUR CHOICE...
\
\
My choice is to love it and whatever happens ....then it happens....and move on,it doesnt matter how we feel or think...life goes on..

Hands down best post I’ve read.

If Ivan did leave now after all the denials his creditability would be shattered, worth zero.
No one would believe another words that come out of his mouth if he back flipped.
From what I've seen he sounds like a pretty credible sort of person.

It's taken a while but bang on…well said...

P.S. Not sure of your body language tho when you type it...

At this point I dont care too much about the perception of Ivans credibility without knowing him personally my view on that holds little credibility .
All I expect of him is to do a good job and if the events of recent weeks has hindered that then thats a problem.
Im interested in who Ivan is signing to strengthen the obvious weaknesses in our squad for next year because without the addition of some quality players even if Ivan is the best coach we have ever had, we have got buckleys of making the eight again.

Body language I was slumped in the chair, stuffed from packing luggage for China holiday.
Hope you are enjoying Cinque Terre.

Hopefully he stays, I hope he does, I think he does, but it is hypocritical to pay out others for not agreeing with you. Implying they are crazy, less intelligent, all this rubbish.

That is exactly what is happening. Moderators included.

Well said Tiger Tiger

I think he’s staying

But either way you’d assume that the Cleary family already knows what’s happening & aren’t waiting for Nathan to have a moment of clarity on November 1 .

I suspect if Penrith get knocked out this weekend that a media conf will be held within the week

Go back and see who started it with the less than 100 IQ comments.

before that it was just people offering up their opinions and a bit of debate.

A poll would be interesting.
Do you want Ivan to stay?
rather than,
Do you think Ivan will stay?
Not sure if it's in the best interests of the club to run it, but with an expected split (somewhat), surely that's enough for us collectively as fans to comprehend that right now he is probably loved as much as Sheens, Potter or Taylor in their last days.

Plenty of insinuation from people arguing both sides of the issue that the other are fools, almost from the inception of the topic.

They'll have to wait until November 1, because that is the absolute earliest rival clubs can legally start negotiations with him.

Unless he seeks a release?

Whether or not you hold that his intentions were honourable, it was meeting with Penrith on the sly that was so un-cool. Come on!

If he cared about the club, the fans and his legacy here, surely he would have tried desperately to endear himself back to the fans - especially in the aftermath of the speculation and now that the season is over. He could easily say that "I will do my damn best to get this club to the finals" or " I love being here" or "please, I am the man for the job here and I am working bloody hard to get this team winning consistently" or (if we was being completely honourable) "I regret that I met with Penrith".

Such a bad look meeting with Penrith, it had consequences.
Who does he think he is that he can just read a statement that says "I intend to honour my contract"?
Where is his empathy? Who responds like that? It was cold-blooded!
No coach/motivator who has true intentions to stay and build a dynasty acts like this to the fans who adored him.

Yep, regardless, Ivan is keeping the story going as much as anyone. If he wants to put a full stop on speculation he just needs to personally commit, not rehash the legal situation over and over.

Maybe he should get a 2040 tattoo to prove his commitment to the WTs
