@ said:Whether or not you hold that his intentions were honourable, it was meeting with Penrith on the sly that was so un-cool. Come on!
If he cared about the club, the fans and his legacy here, surely he would have tried desperately to endear himself back to the fans - especially in the aftermath of the speculation and now that the season is over. He could easily say that "I will do my damn best to get this club to the finals" or " I love being here" or "please, I am the man for the job here and I am working bloody hard to get this team winning consistently" or (if we was being completely honourable) "I regret that I met with Penrith".
Such a bad look meeting with Penrith, it had consequences.
Who does he think he is that he can just read a statement that says "I intend to honour my contract"?
Where is his empathy? Who responds like that? It was cold-blooded!
No coach/motivator who has true intentions to stay and build a dynasty acts like this to the fans who adored him.
Well said bigsiro. I think he has been quite cold about this whole affair, which makes me wonder what his true motives are  I am not feeling that confident that he will stay at WT. He doesn't have the gleam in his eye anymore that he had when he first started at WT.
However we could all be wrong, but unless his heart is totally in being here, he should leave, and we will have to acquire yet another coach :brick:
