Even if we miss JAC I don’t want Mansour.

Mansour has been on a slide for years and he wasn’t that good in the first place. Hard pass. Would be a terrible signing.

I agree. I don’t like it when people say players only look good cause they’re in a good team but I think that’s true in regards to Mansour. In 2019 he was awful and we already have a short, metre making winger.

He’s old slow and won’t score tries in an average team so as you said hard pass. Plus if the intention is to play JAC at fullback why would we sign Mansour who would never go good at fullback

I think it’s a rubbish article. A player like Mansour is the last thing we need right now.

For someone who supposedly supports us, hooper seems almost desperate to say we have no chance of getting him at every turn

Haha sounds like half this forum to be fair

Well after the Mitchell saga last off season you can understand that forum members are skeptical. JAC would be a good signing but if he does not want to come why bother.

Mansour in 2021 will be a poor man’s Nofoaluma

If he can score as many tries as Nofo wouldn't be a bad signing for one or two years as a plan B we've signed a lot worse.

HOOPER WARNING

TIGERS’ PLAN B IN ADDO-CARR CHASE

Speaking of phone calls, interesting to hear Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe gave out-of-favour Penrith winger Josh Mansour a shout last week.

Does this mean Mansour could be headed for Concord? Possibly.

Pascoe knows first hand what it’s like to be left out in the cold by Ivan Cleary.

With Josh Addo-Carr’s management tipped to officially tell the Tigers thanks but no thanks for 2021 on Thursday, Mansour may well end up under Michael Maguire.

The Storm have reportedly upped Addo-Carr’s deal from $350,000 to $480,000 for next year.

Unsurprisingly, literally everything mentioned here seems to be wrong.

Pascoe probably called him cause they’re buddies, I’m assuming he was at Penrith when Mansour was too.

Pascoe would of known him from his time at Penrith, maybe it was just a consolation call?

My thoughts exactly lol

Hooper is such a knob a phone call can be made to say no thanks !

We need to give our Younger players an opportunity otherwise they will get disillusioned rather see Nofo and Kepaoa on the wings next season. BJ if performs and Talua in centres, AD and brooks in the halfs that leaves Momi as a possible fullback option as he has the height - Still Thin in the backs if we have injuries.

if we don't get JAC or Laurie a year early, M'Bye will probably end up as our fullback. even if JAC signs for us I don't see him starting the year at the back. 2 months isn't enough time to learn a new position.

Well i tend to forget about Mybe based upon his performances from last season and really at times looked like he did not really want to play for the team.

He did play fullback and thought he played well but all the extra running meant his knee could not cope and did not see out the season, Option yes but also see him as a utility player and not a captain but a good valid point.

Lets hope so think the forum members think that is not worth signing although we don't have the final say.

The way Doueihi was striking them at the end of the year, we don’t need Momo.

Well at least there will be some competition in the centres with his return and we don't have to play Mybe there running out of the line frequently and leaving the wingers exposed.

Doueihi's technique is awful. Unless he does a lot more work, I don't see him a successful long-term kicker.

Not to say Momo would be one either, but I do think he's better than Doueihi in that department.

They're very similar players those two.

As players, Douiehi is much superior.

At this stage I really don't care if JAC comes or not. Good if he does, no worries if he does not. Having to cajole players and jump through hoops - not really worth it in the long run, they'll just make you do the same thing the next contract.

It would be different if it was a game-changer like Tedesco or Cronk. But no offense to JAC, he might be the best winger going around, but he's still a winger.

One thing to be said about Nofo, he might not be the game's best winger, but at least he does quiet deals when it comes to contract time. He'd certainly get a run for other sides in first grade, so it's not that he doesn't have options, but there's not all this rubbish every contract to get him across the line.

JAC has done it, Latrell did it, Tedesco has done it every contract as well - so much fuss.
