Would be surprised if there’s any sort of announcement from the club about JAC before the season is over. Storm waiting for a replacement before doing anything

Given that Melbourne has given him Permission to move on. Are we able to Announce a deal from 22 with a pending update for 21 once Melbourne has received compensation and officially releases him for 2021 season?

It's all commensurate with Melbourne sourcing a replacement of their own. They're probably being picky over who they want, and with their current status and reputation, they can afford to be. After last Thursday's effort, I wouldn't be sorry to see Talau traded as I'm not convinced he's going to be a top shelf centre with his lack of pace. Haven't seen anything from him to suggest he's a 6 even though he played a lot of junior football there. I think his best bet is to bulk up a bit more and have a crack at 13, but we've got a couple of options there in front of him at the moment.

I agree. Would have no problem at all giving them Talau for JAC.

Problem is Melbourne will have trouble recruiting for next season given no one knows where they'll be based, if they'll be spending a year living out of hotels etc.
If momirovski is enough there'll be an announcement soon. Don't u think he'll suffice though. For an unproven rookie, sure, but for an origin and kangaroo? Probably not

Just waiting for a huge blockbuster announcement from the club. We've signed Tamou, Staines, JAC, Hetho and Grant has been released from his Melbourne contract to take up a 10 year deal with us.

Still 104 days till xmas

We should be actively trying to get as many players exposed to the storm systems and culture as possible.

Given The Foxx only has one year left at the Storm, a one year loan from one of our players, like Talau, should be enough to land the deal.

Grant and the Foxx come to WT to show how it is done, meanwhile our younger players like Momers and Talau go to the storm to learn their systems.

Agree with this. Although we arent 100% sure whether going to Melbourne did Momos any good. We only know that Grant was ready before he came to us.

This could be true, but remember that once upon the time we signed Blair!

Johnston drops certain try
NRL: Alex Johnston dropped the ball on what would have been a certain try for South Sydney.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs were in secret negotiations to sign champion Melbourne Storm winger Josh Addo-Carr before backflipping to keep Alex Johnston.

The club’s head of football, Mark Ellison, had been in discussions with Addo Carr’s manager, Mario Tartak, for several weeks and made a verbal offer.

At the last moment the offer was withdrawn.

The Rabbitohs were concerned it would be a public relations nightmare.

That it would be wrong to tell Johnston there was no room in the salary cap then bring in another winger on more money. Not when fans were running an online petition to keep Johnston at Redfern.

A public relations nightmare prevented Josh Addo-Carr from joining Souths.

Addo-Carr is now set to sign with the Wests Tigers in the next 48 hours.

He is already looking for a home to buy in Sydney’s inner west.

Not at all surprised, scum.

Where you at Crawley?

So we officially have it from Buzz's dribbly mouth....here's hoping the old coot gets something right.....

You’d think with the storms being cemented in the top 4 Bellamy would’ve given the Fox a shot at fullback ..
It’s only fair as we keep playing Harry Grant .

Id be comfortable if the Storm wanted Talau for the fox, they'll probably turn him into the next big thing and the media will laugh at us for letting another one go but we have momo coming back. We still have to accomodate Mbye some how and we need fixing sooner rather than when and if Talau develops.

“Old coot”? I’m not sure you’ve spelled that quite right...
