Jacob Liddle #198

Well that sucks as he was building into an eighty minute player. Could have really done with his mopping up work when that poor decision put us on the back foot today as well.

Marshall-King has a hand injury..

We may see Elijah Taylor or Joel Edwards filling in while McIlwrick has a spell..

He costs us two tries today. Although hard when his been playing 10 mins the last month or so.

Yeah, lack of game time would not help, but don't see MM having eighty in him at any sort of reasonable quality and he was costly today.
 
Hard on the young guy, but sounds like we'll use our brains and not rush him back, give him an extra long pre-season and get himself fit and bulked up for next season
 
Spoke about Liddles small frame and playing bigger minutes in the toughest position on the park only a few weeks ago, it was only a matter of time before he copped an injury. Hope it's not a sign of things to come

Don't worry Tiger - this kid is as tough as teak. Just bad luck.

Same with Sattler breaking his jaw in the GF - just bad luck, no one was saying it was only a matter time then.
 
JLJ too come in? What for??

Mckillrick to play 60 min. Put ET in for twenty. Were out of the running for finals so i want the extra bench spot to go to another player wel use next year…

Id rather have MM play 80 and make the odd mistake than have JLJ back in FG again…

Yep, that's the option. Some are saying ET could play DH for say, 20 mins while MM is rested.
 
Take MM off ten minutes before half time and put on a solid defender with ET moving to dummy half. It will rest MM and stiffen us up during that period before half time when we often leak tries. Then bring MM back on after half time and that way he's had a good 20min break and should be able to go another 40 mins.

I'd rather do that than carry JLJ on the bench when we could instead have JJ Felise, Twal, Aloiai, Edwards, etc. Any of these guys are going to contribute to the team and performance much more than JLJ.
