He should not be asked to play 80 minutes at this stage. You could see he was gone in the last 15 minutes. No running, passes getting worse, but there was no strategy to give him even a 10 minute breather.

Misused IMO and not supported enough by the forwards around him - he gets isolated far too regularly and that leaves him gassed over the course of the game.

He doesn't have 80 minutes in him but Madge is stubborn in wanting 4 pigs on the bench. Needs to bring Simpkin back in - two props and a backrower to give Lucy a spell.

Don't know if simpkin is ready but he may aswell get some game time not learning anything with no games.

This is all on the coach and no one else. You can’t expect a dummy half to play 80 minutes effectively in this new fast tempo. Simpkins has to be on the bench. If nikorima changed the game by coming on then surely madge can see that. If our number 9 is there when joffa plays the ball, he scores untouched.

Agree but in fairness his hands were tied a little when Laurie went off in first set and our utility player had to come on and play centre all game.. I think his plan was to use Mybe in hooker for 20-30 mins and MCK in centre for that time... I still believe we should of had Simpkin on the bench regardless instead of MCK but i'm not the coach

Problem is you need an 80min No9 ,

Storm seem to cope ok without one as do a few other of the bigger teams.

That aside I agree but we only have what we have. It’s time to play Simpkin and Liddle for the rest of the year. See what the young fella has in the tank.
