Jahream Bula #269

Unsure why people question him as he is still very young and playing behind a team that struggles alot can be hard.
Last night showed if we can put a decent team in front of him and add Laui he will be a gun.
Natural athlete that might look slow but super quick as shown last night for the try around Drinkwater.

Than add his defence for a young guy.

Looks like his team mates love him also by the reactions when he scores.

I think he's the best player in the squad right now. Most talented, might be more accurate.

With Bula going in for shoulder surgery as per Daily Telegraph, hopefully the club & he uses the time to build up the strength in his legs in the gym (probably wouldn't be able to do too much power work early in recovery period).
The prolonged immobilisation (6 weeks) post-surgery has all of your arm muscles wasting away to nearly nothing, so he's got a long recovery ahead.

I had similar at the end of last year (full biceps rupture ala Fogarty/Reynolds/Moses), would not recommend and took a real mental toll too. Hopefully his team mates rally around him in the off season.

Well please post when you are healthier. And hope you get better soon

What sport do you play? And more importantly are you gonna be good for life without sport? Because im pretty sure you're not getting paid for the sport. And thanks for being transparent. Appreciate it Brother

Bula doesn't get talked about as much as other player's on the forum. @Tucker if I may ask, how did the key stats for Bula in 2024 compare to the previous season. He definitely added to his game and was available as a support runner more at least those were my observations.

Hey man, he has been marginally better this year, but nothing extraordinary yet.

His kick return meters have decreased a fair bit. His 39m/game is way off the pace compared with his peers.
Everything else is pretty much the same as last year although he has scored twice as many tries.

3rd year in ,time he step"s up -no complaints here yet, he has been tracking well ,but,i do like the make up of the team ,Bunji running the show, rookie hard heads n play makers, not the right sprinkle of old timers yet,yet confident the kids will step up an other level again

Many players develop "2nd year syndrome" because defences and attackers are schooled on how to deal with him to reduce his threat. You should be able to better judge how he is going at the end of next year

Good stats.

But it shows Bula isn't going backwards. Yea, a few are falling, a few are growing and Tries + Tackle breaks are the most important IMHO.

Not extra-ordinary but decent.

Not bad...
Bula will be another one that is going to benefit from having some good talent around him in 2025. Will be interesting to see his stat's again at the end of next season.
