OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

OK- lets play that game. I've said he's going to be in the top 2-3 contenders for the popularity award, if that proves if he's better or worse.

How many players have you got in front of him this year?

mate … don’t bother saying anything further … the season is 70 percent over … Im happy to wait for the results

My point was nothing about being popular

He doesnt break tackles... And he doesn't look to me like he's playing better.. His defense despite the stats saying is better... Looks less effective, maybe there's not as many try savers as there was in 23

He rarely gets thru the line.. We need much more from him

Mate I've seen him make tackles this year that other fullbacks can't and he makes it look easy.

I see what your saying though because last year there were some crazy saves by him that haven't seemed to happen this year. A couple of times this year o have expected more of him defensively but there have also been times when I can't believe he has made the tackle.

Great prospect.

161 run metres
4 tackle busts
1 line break
2 try assists
1 try
2 try saving tackles

Do these stats satisfy you at
Probably his best game this season, he and Pole clearly our best two players tonight.
That said, do we have the players around him to get the best out of him and do we have a team that can afford not to have a fullback who can assist with playmaking and a kicking game ?

His link play into the backline in the last few weeks has looked very promising. If anything, I think having Galvin & Bula running the same shape is hindering the attack. I'd like to see Galvin occasionally run inward. Or have Doueihi do it. Just give an inside angle.

IMO his playmaking will improve a lot like Dylan Edwards' did over time. He actually has a nicer pass then what Edwards did, so his starting point is higher. It's up to him and the coaching staff to work hard.

You can’t win in the NRL with no wingers, one injured centre and one makeshift one.

I thought Doueihi was mostly good, the opposition fears him getting the ball with space to move that’s for certain.
Staines does ok, Olam and Faatape might as well not have been there.

Your man Bula gave Staines two tries on a silver platter. When’s he going to do something himself.

Galvin is a bigger problem than Bula. Plenty of energy but a bit too slow for a half especially with Sezer also quite slow. Couple of 7 tackle sets didn’t help either, but he is 18.

Luai next year will hopefully offset Galvin’s lack of pace.

Those two aren’t problems amongst a sea of problems.

You questioned if he'd get the POTY award this year. Pretty much a popularity contest.

But, with that in mind- he's got to be in the top 2-3 contenders, right?

Api obviously. Maybe Sam Fainu. Galvin? No way Galvin is playing BETTER than Bula, but popularity might push him up there.

Anyone else? He won't be far away, I bet you that much.

POTY?
Not me... Someone else.

But yeah he'd be up there not much competition... And he got a line break tonite 👍

You got Tigerballs’ knickers in a knot. That’s for sure but credit where credit is due, tonight showed the kind of form he needs to keep and how much of a danger he is.
