People overlook the quality of the human - he is the type of person coaches want to coach. He has a ton of natural talent and hasn't come close to reaching his ceiling. Of course Flannagan would be interested with an aging FB in his team.

We are talking up around a million dollars per season for a players who shows plenty of potential, but has not yet proven ti be anywhere near a million dollar per season player, so if he does get that money it’s taking a risk and gambling that he makes the necessary improvement to beckme a million dollar per season player very soon.
He is much more chance of living up to this potential with us than he would be at any other club due and I highly doubt any rival club will be willing to pay as much as what we will offer him.

In any case we (the tigers - the finest and most respected roster managers in the universe) would have to pay at least 750k in wages to recruit a decent replacement first grade fullback, if we're fair dinkum, if not more.

For me I just ask myself if he's worth the extra 200, 300k? I'd say he is.

But then Bula has also got to ask himself as well, how long am I going to hang on before making a commitment?

I could have a season or career ending injury at any point and have to seriously think about my future income and prospects.

Yes but when you are guessing and gambling on lower contract values, it doesn’t hurt so much if you get it wrong.

I reckon He stays, he's a man of God and a man of his word so I believe. The connection with the playing group is there with results on the back of that this year there's no need to leave,We will make sure his pay package is healthy, he he we be around long term
