James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Am I the only one who thinks Tedesco is staying? I can understand why people think otherwise; maybe I'm just optimistic or deluding myself. Only if I could go back in time to tell my younger self to support Storm.

That's why i like my idea of a Rally with banners flags n stuff outside Concord Oval..It worked last …oh..

What about Happy personally approaching the CEO with his grievances.

How about fans as a whole bombard this club and CEO with its grievances …. :bulb:

And then stop showing up to games , not buy memberships , not buy merchandise , smash Harry T's Meriton pages with complaints ......

What did John Lennon say "its easy if you try "

I think he'll stay from his last quotes…... but if he does go we've been played by the media
There are over 50 players off contract yet we are being singled out by behind the scene journalist who might have alternative motives but we will see if all the other players get so much flack from the media and fans to make a decision

I'm still hopeful. I think he has been encouraged to leave by his manager. I think he really wants to stay but is really disheartened by everything going on which would make it hard to think clearly. This could lead to a rash decision where he just signs elsewhere and there will be no turning back. He won't backflip a second time. We should have signed Cleary at the end of 2016

Ah slacktivism hashtags. Now it's a movement.

Least that's not as bad as some who have gone to the trouble of actually messaging him on his Facebook account, begging him to stay. No wonder he went off social media.

This gon be good:

http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/tigers/nrl-2017-wests-tigers-announce-deadline-on-james-tedesco-aaron-woods-offers/news-story/2e6390aa9e123322832486dfa1792187

WESTS Tigers are bringing the longwinded contract sagas around James Tedesco and Aaron Woods to a head, issuing the pair with a 24-hour deadline on their current offers.

Following further meetings with the off-contract Origin reps’ manager Isaac Moses this week, Tedesco and Woods have been given until Friday to accept the respective multi-million dollar four-year contracts tabled by the joint-venture.

Skipper Woods has long been pursued by Canterbury and is considered a near certainty to join the western Sydney powerhouse, who have also chased Tedesco hard as well in recent weeks.

Tedesco has been weighing up lucrative approaches from both the Bulldogs and Roosters, with the Bondi outfit favoured to secure the NSW custodian.

Two days after they make a call on their respective futures at the Tigers, the plot thickens further for Tedesco and Woods when they take on Canterbury on Sunday, potentially against future teammates or players that may be forced out of Belmore by their arrival.

The hard line stance from new coach Ivan Cleary is tipped to see just Luke Brooks remain from the star quartet that also includes Parramatta-bound Mitchell Moses and had long been seen as the club’s future.

“It’s in the interests of both certainly the players and all the stakeholders” Cleary told reporters of the deadline decision.

“Constant speculation is actually becoming a hindrance to performance. We don’t want to go another game with that.

“I think it’s really good for the guys and they understand that.

“We’d love them to stay. at this stage we’ve had no decision (or) information regarding decisions but that’ll obviously come.

“Whatever happens we will respect those decisions of course. We’re really hopeful of both guys staying with us and working towards building a future here.”

Cleary also declared Moses will not be released early to join the Eels, vowing to hold the 22-year-old five-eighth to the final year of his Tigers deal despite requests for an early exit.

Asked to describe Moses’ reaction when he personally approached his coach to request a release again on Tuesday, Cleary said the wantaway pivot “understood” the knock back.

Some hope remains that local juniors Woods and Tedesco will remain at the only club they’ve ever known.

But Cleary’s body language as he addressed the media said plenty, as did his concession the Tigers have considered contingency plans should the pair join Moses in departing.

The Tigers have been previously linked to Warriors duo Shaun Johnson and Ben Matulino — both of whom flourished under Cleary when he took the Kiwi outfit to the 2011 grand final — as well as in-form Dragons skipper Gareth Widdop.

“That’s the professional environment we live in,” Cleary said.

“If that is the case, I’ll reiterate I certainly hope it’s not, I can certainly guarantee Wests Tigers supporters that we’ll be able to attract some high-calibre and well-credentialed players.”

Since the deadline was put in place the rumour mill is running wild - the current is rorters have teddy signed on a 1.4 mil a year for 4 years. If this is even close then the NRL is totally and fully @$&(@#.

Gotta say I agree with that part of the article. I think he knows they're both gonsky, just wants it out of the press.

Lol - looks that way - can't wait for the "professional " media types like slothfield and kent to start weighing in with their info from sources close to the club.
