James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Tigers- Have formally offered tedesco a million dollar deal. If he doesn't accept this, than his only offer will be from the roosters who since have no competition will offer Tedesco significantly less than what the tigers have

Isn't financially smarter by quite a lot for Tedesco to sign with us? This doesn't even consider Tedesco being able to play with his mates or the fact that he's a junior.

So what is it that I'm missing? Can someone help me out??

Agree i don't get it either. Tedesco's quotes confirm how much he loves the club. I just can't see him putting pen to paper on another clubs contract

How many times have you had him on and off the bus. Hope you are right mate, would really shove one up uncle Nick and the chooks who are use to getting their own way.

Mate - he is gone. He is a princess drama-queen. Listen to Happy talk about how bad the club is. I think it's all made up palava but some people have to be hard done by.

I hope he stays but I just can't see it now.

I'm going to sign the family up for memberships for next year based on how well the club has handled these prima-donnas.

personally, i think hes roosters bound also.
a lot of people seem to think these kids are chasing the dollar…
i dont think so

From what teddy's said, moses, woods... they are looking for a team they think WILL BE playing finals the moment they join
NOT because of them, but because the team is of that caliber as a whole. (team + club)
the tigers will play finals footy, but will it be this year or next year or maybe the year after...
thats the killer question !

With roosters, no matter how much mini tried to deny his involvement, i think even the smallest of convo's with teddy would have been massive.

playing for a team like the roosters - if he stays their for the rest of his career, sets him up for life.
people snicker about the "latte set" - well, guess what... they are and do mingle with the big end of town.
Teddy will become the stellar professional as was mini and he will cash in on every part of his life outside football thanks to uncle nic.
he'll be playing amongst rep players and that too will go along way.
They will be playing finals for the next xxxxx years

That would have been the sell.

OR stay with a club that sacked the guy who convinced you to reneg on canberra, the club legend, the no1 club man, the captain, your mate.... all for a coach you sacked 3 weeks into a season, a board thats a mess. a ceo thats clueless, A lawn bowls out the back of five dock thats a tempory club and another one out west and and and and ......

the reports are hes signed.
We all know theres no loyalty in the game anymore....
the decision to stay or leave kind of seems obvious right about now.

Correct on all counts. His quotes suggest he's likely to stay. Media speculation says he's gone. So called journalists from a certain media outlet have it in for us.
What else is disappointing is that many fans on this forum choose to believe the speculation from this particular media outlet. And not just speculation about Woods and Tedesco but the so called 'basket case' of a club and chairwoman and CEO.
I for one would like to believe the club whilst it's had its issues is progressing well. Heck even JT after he got shafted couldn't speak badly of the board.
But back to the topic whatever happens happens. If they stay we're building the team around them. If they go that will be disappointing especially Teddy, but we have the right coach in place to sign the right talent for 2018

it wouldn't surprise me if Nick Politis and Dib are influencing the media and creating this chaos to put pressure on both the tigers club and players.

I cant blame them for moving on especially after the events of last year. It was a year of constant controversy and we really have no idea where the players allegiances lie in relation to those events.They have been tempted by opportunity elsewhere and I dont think for a minute it has been an easy decision but no doubt other clubs would have used all indeficiencies to make their own organizations look that much more attractive. WTs as an organization have to own that.

There's an article saying Tedesco is leaning towards the Roosters. Wasn't sure if anyone had posted it yet.

So the NRL was supposedly refusing to register the contracts of Idris and Taylor because it would put the tigers over the cap.

I assume there will also be a thorough review of the positions of those clubs that are poaching our top players on millions dollar contracts. The dogs will need to shed players? Well then the contract can't be registered until that occurs.

You'd like to think that this happens but I don't care. These guys have chosen to leave. This is just the club getting their house in order.

James is unfortunately nothing but a puppet. If the other donkeys had of stayed he would've stayed. Woods - well woods should not have even been given the captaincy.
 
So the coach speaks at a press conference at 15:30hrs saying he and the club have not been given any indication regarding a decision by the players but suddenly at 20:30hrs Rothfield says they have both signed contracts? Since when are contracts signed after hours? Some one is telling porkies…
 
I think it's clear that the lovely Jamie was going to screw us over and all he wanted to get was a million dollar contract elsewhere to express his displeasure at the club for doing everything possible to keep him and his mates happy. The problem is that they drew the line at the "footy whisperer" and his masseuse so the guys had to go.
 
I think the contracts for Woods and Teddy are already signed elsewhere and the club knows it so they've come out today and announced Nofa as staying to try and drop some good news before tomorrow's signing deadline of the other 2.
