James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Gee i love how he had the balls to sack Ayoub.

While we look to have many natural leaders in our younger guys, Moses stands out to most, but i think Tedesco has the all round leadership qaulities to lead this club. Would love to see him a long term Tigers captain.

Just goes to show how close they all are to entrust their careers in Moses uncle, and allow him to negotiate one of the most important contracts of their careers with same club at the same time.
Such a great story unfolding if we can keep them and they develop into the great combination that we have all been anticipating.

Last year I was going through some management problems..

Wonder why…?

Every day i'm gaining more confidence he'll stay put. He obviously wants to stay, i doubt it isn't lip service. Its the clubs responsibility to value whatever concerns he has and take them on board. He's the most important signing the club has had to make since Marshall in his prime. They can't afford to screw it up. I think a lot will be keen to stay if he puts pen to paper first.

I'm fairly confident Teddy will stay long term. Just a process of sourcing offers from the market to ensure he gets market $$ from WT.

Something i like is he used the term "we" as opposed to "they" when mentioning how they would build as a club. The signs are positive. What makes you confident is how vocal he's been about wanting to stay. The others haven't said a word, not even the captain. So Tedesco has no reason to say it if he doesn't mean it.

When we re sign him we need to buy him some protection Some mongrel forwards who will take things into their own hands when he is targeted in games. Stupid if we don't!

I think he'll stay if we table a sensible offer and he thinks we're a chance to take him to a premiership.

I agree, if we don't table a silly (I.e. Lowball) offer I think we have to be considered front runners at this stage. This is the real test of our new management, a chance to improve on the wrongs of the past, which by their own reports have hamstrung the club for years.

Ayoub trying to take him to the roosters

Ayoub was gone long before that…Roosters never even tabled an offer ...

No offers, no nothing that I know of. It was all in the media.

Good Lesson for those who jump a shadows perpetrated by the likes of the Mole Lurker or Ali's Latest rumours...

My point was, Ayoub's a grub

Have to agree with this.Money is important but i think foremost in his mind would be being at a club with good credentials to win a premiership over the next few years.A good showing this year will go a long way in retaining him.

They seem a pretty tight bunch so you'd think they would be confident within themselves of winning a premiership with the tigers.
There doesn't appear to be a reason for him leaving, it feels like there is alot of positivity within the club.

A big baring on us being premiership contenders in the next couple of years relies on him and his mates. The players need to realise what they do will have a big say in that.

Agreed i dont think he will leave a decent start to the season should keep him here as i am sure the clubs offer will be a reasonable one.

We will keep the ones we really want.
Great to see he is not just open about starting talks with us but also clearly nothing with another club has started.

Straight shooter JT is looking forward to seeing his name as our all time #1 in years to come

Don't know about needing to buy one, but I would be instructing all of our prop rotation to make their presence felt immediately if he was targeted. Losing one of them for a couple of weeks pales in comparison to losing any time for Teddy, even just a concussion test.
