James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Going by his interview he is gone, but it will not be the Dogs, he wants to play finals so I say he is off to the Chooks. I also have had a few people in the last day from Bondi tell me it's all signed sealed and delivered, but they could be stirring the pot but they are well connected with the club

Agree just saw the interview pretty clear to me they made up their decision.

Time for these players to stand up for more than half a game. Getting tired of the 'let our footy do the talking ' spiel. When will they walk the talk. The manager wants to be careful if he's playing hardball, he might get told to pack up his toys and go.

Well said

You're missing the point that Tedesco is one player who does give value for his money . Unlike some who get a jumper every week was quiter last week but when most of the team went missing after 30 minutes. It's not the fullbacks fault
He's probably sick of not getting decent ball , or getting it with the defence on top of him, leaving would at least prolong his career

Can't pretend I'd be ok with losing teddy, but if it happens it happens.

A few months ago I would have said the same about Moses and woods, although I'm increasingly bitter we could have had TMM for less and gotten much better value.

I'm happy we don't have another bunch of potential players coming through, we are going to have to go to the open market if these guys leave and I think that will be for the best.

We have never had success with locals only. Take out Prince, Whats, Richards, Payten, even Elford (was better than our current centres) and we would have no premiership.

Suli ???

I just hope he comes out and tells the club if he has signed elsewhere ASAP, so both parties can get on with the 2017 season and the club can make some plans for 2018 and beyond.

Yes, we have a few good juniors, but not a group of unproven "stars". We tried to build a team around potential, time and time again, and failed.

I expect Teddy to leave us and Rooster would be a good fit.

Michael Gordon at the end of his career and Mitchell seems to make a good centre.

Uncle Nick has plenty of third party funds.

I expect us to keep Woods and Moses. Brooks is park football standard

Haven't the Roosters come out and said they won't deal with Isaac Moses?

I am a bit put off by his comments really. You just do not publicly bag the hand that feeds you on national tv. He actually said he does not care about tiger fans and has to look after himself. Those same fans that genuinely hold their breath when he gets tackled due to fear he got injured. I'm really getting fed up with the lot.

Really.

Have you got the article where they said that?

Well that's disappointing, I'm fairly confident Teddy has already signed somewhere else going by that interview.

I disagree. When he said when there are genuine offers in front of him and it's the right time he will sit down and make a decision I believed him. The way I see it is the players are fed up with losing and constantly dealing with off field dramas, still waiting to see who the coach will be etc. Their morale is way down at the moment. You watch a few wins in a row and appoint cleary as head coach and everything will turn around.

SO did Ben Teo, Fifta and Heightington.

Ah no Ben Te'o left for $$$.

Fifita left because he was traded.

Heighington left because he was shopped around.

It just so happens that the ended up playing finals football, that's the way footy works, Sharks were not on top back then.

Would you believe a word from Bondi….they will do what ever to get the best players

Mo…Paul Cent said that, or maybe Rottfeiled

I just wonder how guys like Sue and Ava feel hearing his comments. While they might not be world beaters, they bust their guts, and your marquee player pretty much hangs you out to dry claiming you aren't good enough to get HIM to the semis. Like it's their fault. I love Tedesco and think he's a great kid off the field. All the stories I have heard about him, he's a class act. But you don't bury your teammates in the media like that. Whether it's true or not. Very out of character for Tedesco imo. Sounds like something Hayne would say.

A lot of wrist slitting in here from an interview and nothing else. Get your blades out if he actually signs elswhere, save yourself from the drama until then.

Seriously is nobody learning from history, players come out and make yes and no statements all the time, half of all of it is tactical or misrepresented.

Remember Elijah Taylor last year talking about going back to rugby? HAH

Just let it play out peeps, the last 5 or 6 pages of this thread is pure miseryguts.

All I'm saying mate is recent example of players leaving the Tigers and winning Premierships.

And thes players were no where near highly rated as our "big 4"

You don't think that comes into their thinking ?
