James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

That's the problem right there.
Could you imagine any other forward pack in any team in any era doing nothing when their star player goes down hurt illegally.
Teddy is probably still upset about jaw I know I would be.

When Teddy got smashed by Kikau in the Panthers game he understandably didn't look happy.

Same incident as with James, which could have meant another season out.

Once again, none of our forwards defended him and made it clear that wasn't on.

When he talks success (ie., making finals) I imagine he'd also be thinking longevity.

Not burning out hard and fast behind a soft pack.

A soft pack of which Woods - an embarrassment for a captain in this regard - is as big a culprit as any of them.

You don't play for Australia or in SOO because you are soft. You aren't spoken about by the current Kangaroo coach in glowing terms if you do not perform. If Tedesco chooses to leave so be it we can always bid for Dugan or Bird.

Best thing I have read in this thread. Agreed.

Woods should never be Captain, anywhere.

The fact the he appears to be widely respected by his peers says it all.

To think that there was somebody who read that and thought ''gee this belongs on the forum''.

Funniest thing I've seen for a long time
The really funny thing is , that it is not to far off being something that this club could come up with.

i think all good souls on this forum need to prepare themselves for teddys departure.
he has given supporters great joy in the past 24 months but i cannot blame him if he wants to move on.
as one door closes, another one opens so they say.
i always cheer for explayers when i watch games- but not against the tigers,of course.
i wish him well.

Unfortunately - when the other door opens, it can be a cupboard!

Leave ET out of it - but if you think Woods is soft (an Australian and SOO Front Rower) - that doesn't say
much f the rest of the Wests Tigers forwards.

Apart from Bromwich (and I disagree that he is better than Woods) - I think Woods is the best front rower going around at the moment.

Soft - get serious Milky, you don't know the meaning of the word lol.

Lovett - now there is soft!

Statistically Woods is very good and does do plenty of work, but the pack does not have someone that brings a hard attitude. Someone like Graham, Burgess, JWH etc. Stats may not be as impressive as Woodsie, but they bring some very important factors to their teams.

Rubbish. Tedesco got smashed by a forward, legally, when he was catching a bomb. It happens to every fullback in the competition and there is nothing anyone could have done about it.

Woods is may not be a JWH, burgess or graham and he doesn't need to be. He just needs someone like that in the pack supporting him.

It's not as straight forward as that, there is a trade off you get the aggro but those kind of players usually have a high penalty rate. So it's 50/50\. Given our lack of grace with Ref's it would be 70/30.
