Not sure what everyone wants the club to do? All the rumours have suggested we've offered more money to Teddy than anyone else and clearly that hasn't been good enough.
He's dragged this out for months and apparently some expect that to be rewarded, all of them have dragged this out.
If Woods and Teddy are both off to the Dogs, then it will be interesting to see just what sort of team the Dogs will have money for to fill out the rest of the squad.

The announcement today won't be to confirm who they've signed for (unless it's us). It would be to say that they have declined our offers and are in negotiations with other clubs.
But even if they turn arond and sign our contact offers we can't announce it until the cooling off period has finished anyway so we either announce they're leaving or we say nothing.

Tedesco leaving is a real bummer, but it really isn't all that bad. We have an opportunity to build a TEAM, instead of a group of stars. With the right roster, we can stop over-reliance on star players (i.e. we won't go on a losing streak every time teddy gets injured). In brief, a team of good players is better than a few stars mixed with poor quality players (in my humble opinion).
We can also build a roster with character and the right culture - take pride in the jersey each week. That will go a long way to fixing one of our key problems, which is recovering after points. We always seem to concede 2 or 3 tries really quick because we are easily deflated. Having the right culture will help solve that to some degree.
I have a lot of faith in Cleary, I think he has handled this situation well. The future doesn't look so bad, especially since we have the services of Teddy and co. for the rest of the year, followed by a much improved roster next year.

I can understand why the players are leaving, they have been through some hard years and the grass always look greener when your place is in constant turmoil. Money was never a issue, they were going to get a truck load where ever they went. What is sad the club finally made their smartest move and signed Cleary and with Cleary came some real hope about the future, but I guess they were not willing to take a punt any more.
Anyway glad it is all over and hope it never happens again, okay the club has made some massive mistakes but the big three have not done their brand names much good either. Looking forward to the start of a new era come 2018, success will take time but it will happen

I'm not gonna assume anything until an official announcement is made, but for the time being Tedesco is a tiger and we should respect his decision wherever he may go he deserves it, it's Woods who deserves no respect the supposed club captain apparently signing with the Doggies on an extended COP so if it doesn't work out he's got us as a back up and he gets on NRL 360 with his doofus voice "I haven't even looked at my options". Release your captaincy now and give it to Nofa. Woods is a clown.

I'm actually still holding some hope Tedesco will stay too. It all looked done and dusted yesterday but it seems they've jumped the gun, it all started with Buzz's article and it looks like he was just guessing. After Teddys recent positive comments regarding the club it doesn't really make sense.. Anyway we'll find out today.
I think the biggest blow is that us as fans back these players for the few years and build up a lot of respect for them but then they move onto other clubs and we're left having to start over again and build excitement and respect around new signings. I know as a teen I loved guys like Prince and Hodgson so seeing them depart when you feel like your club is finally getting somwhere is a massive blow.

People also need to realise journos will just make up their own conclusion too. It's hard for them to get direct quotes from players unless they're rocking up to team media sessions and our guys have repeatedly said they're taking their time to sort out their future. Whether their managers are responsible for leaking info…I don't know, but I'd be ditching a manager if they did that because how many people, immediate family and manager aside would know what the club the player is going to?

With all the reports about Foran this morning its starting to seem no one has any idea.
I have a fair bit of dealings through my work with one of the Rooster major sponsors. He told me the other week Teddy had signed but told me today he had just agreed to terms. Apparently they are sorting out some third part payments before he signs??
He reckons the contract is for $800,000 a year plus the third party payments, End up around $1,000,000 a year. Its a four year deal.
Although he didn't sound as confident as he did the other day. Maybe things aren't as well as they seem.
Hopefully we are still a chance??
