Our mate Jimmy Hooper shot down the suggestion, reckons he'll put pen to paper for 4 years this week.

Same one that said a deal was done a week or so ago? He's a peanut. Teddy has agreed to terms but those terms have been rejected by NRL on TPA basis. Doesn't mean he's coming back or what ever just means the roosters have to find the money promised in the contract elsewhere or teddy can accept a lesser offer or he can reject it all together.

Smoking Gun mate, I appreciate your inside info most of the time but im calling rubbish on this one.

Your source is from inside the Tigers club, I can guarantee you the Wests Tigers have no knowledge of what is going on between the Roosters and Tedesco. How does your source have such great information?

I've worked in rugby league for almost a decade. I have worked for 3 clubs in various positions (mostly being player analysis orientated) I have some connections. Not just at tigers. This info is from an NRL employee directly. It is what it is. Nothing is suggesting Tedesco is staying it's just that the NRL didn't register the terms of the contract on the TPA's. Call it what u want. It is what it is.

SG - do managers request clubs get all offers signed off by NRL before presenting them to their clients or only the one the player intends on signing.

In other words would the tigers, rosters and dogs offers been presented to the NRL for James.

Not getting my hopes up BUT consider the following:

1\. Tedesco publicly stated multiple times that he would not rush this contract decision due to lessons learned during last contract negotiations. Also publicly stated multiple times his preference was to stay
2\. Tedesco has been poorly advised/managed by Isaac Moses during this entire contract situation as has Woods and Mitchell
3\. Tedesco has not signed a deal with another club, he has ongoing negotiations with the Roosters but nothing is signed quite obviously
4\. If Tony Adams aka the mole is saying that Teddy is telling his team mates that he wants to sign then you can bet that is the honest truth - the mole has really good relationships with a lot of NRL players
5\. Anyone who hasn't seen ET's interview today, watch it now considering point #4
6\. It's not a backflip if you haven't signed anywhere yet

He's not back flipping

Is this based on a source or just an opinion?

I think we would all appreciate if posters made this clear when posting in contract threads. There has been a lot of statements in these threads presented as authoritative without it being clear whether the poster is just giving their view or have some source.

I honestly think we are building nicely for a prem in the next few years.
Got a great coach now.
Few more pieces to the puzzle and we are there.

Teddy should stay with it and help.
Otherwise hes a rat

The weaker clubs like the Tigers and the Knights shouldnt be touching any contracted players from the Dogs or the Roosters. The bigger clubs are signing who they want even if that puts them over the cap knowing they can move on out of form contracted players. Knights and Tigers should agree to not pay more then 25% of the salary of a contracted player from Dogs or Roosters. which will mean they either get a player for a bargin or if Dogs/Roosters refuse the deal they wont be able to get under the cap. Have to stop the bigger clubs poaching the weaker clubs best players often being juniors.

However ….. if there is a chance the player is wanted by its current club you may want to drive their price up!

I agree say with Reynolds. Im not talking about off contract players for 2018 im talking about contracted players for 2018 and beyond. If we or the Knights take them we are allowing them to get under the cap after they have poached our best players

To me he just seems very immature ala Moylan. And not all that intelligent TBH. Seems to be the gullible, easily I influenced type that just follows what others are doing. A sheep. Would not surprise if Mummy still does all his washing for him and cooks all his meals still. That's not being condescending towards him, it is just how I picture it to be. He seems that type of young bloke to me.

Lives with the two halves, Brooks said they eat out mostly, maybe Mama Ted cooks for all 3 and does laundry once a week. Would be an interesting one if they all played at different clubs next year.
