I was only wondering the other day what the go with Moses is. The news of him to Parra broke the same day the news about Brooks re-signing broke. So the COP should have ended. What's the hold up?

Same one that said a deal was done a week or so ago? He's a peanut. Teddy has agreed to terms but those terms have been rejected by NRL on TPA basis. Doesn't mean he's coming back or what ever just means the roosters have to find the money promised in the contract elsewhere or teddy can accept a lesser offer or he can reject it all together.
You are the only peanut here, making out you know all yet you know nothing. Terms have not been rejected by NRL..have another go. Isaac Moses go to man Hooper has said he will sign with roosters this week and that's what will happen.
@ said:Perhaps they are waiting to see if they can get him for this season before making any announcements
@ said:Moses requested a longer a COP, with an option to announce it earlier (I assume that would be if he was granted an immediate release). It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but what does in Rugby League these Days?

That's not even a thing.

@ said:Why do you need a longer COP? You just don't sign the contract until you are sure. If Parramatta agreed to this, they should see the writing on the wall in terms of a player trying to dictate terms to them before he has even arrived.

Whats "not even a thing"?

Having a longer than 10 day COP.
@ said:I can't see why you can't have a longer COP. Presumably, a COP of 10 days is a minimum term in all playing contracts but we know it can be waived by the player - see Nofo. Similarly, the contract could be drafted with a longer COP. Im not saying it happened but I can't see any reason why it couldn't.
I do recall another player recently getting for a longer COP. I can't recall who it was, so it seems there is some precedent.

A cooling off period isn’t part of the contract, it is a condition set by the NRL, player signs contract, club lodges contract with the NRL, the NRL waits 10 business days, nothing happens NRL registers contract.

In that case, maybe the contract hasn't been lodged with the NRL by request… It could be as simple as that. Considering he supposedly signed the contract the Tuesday of the Cowboys game, it's been over 3 weeks now. Something has to have happened to that effect?
