Muuum, Ivan was mean to me.
Thats ok honey, just take your toys and play somewhere else.

He said he'd never had a live"signed" contract until last months, so someone's lying.
Tedesco has no reason to, his future is secured…....... but someone does.

He does as well - he is trying to play Mr Nice guy who was "hard done by" - by the team he loved and didn't want to leave.

He's telling porkies, the same as the other two - they all wanted to leave and they have.

Good riddance to them.

Totally agree

No reason to have a thread on these three anymore.

Let's concentrate on the future and those that want to play for the Mighty Tigers.

Russell..something has gone wrong above…

I would love the club to come out and say that they are going to replace for free (or at least a discounted rate) all supporters' jerseys with the not so big 3's names on them with brand new jerseys!

A club doesn't put a contract out until the player and his manager agree on the terms. When it was obvious they would not sign I am sure that's when the management put formal offers on the table and said 2 weeks boys.
I posted well before it was in the papers woods had signed with the dogs as I personally know some of their corporates. These players were always going Cleary Is the one that had the balls to move on.

@ said:
So should we. Karma will not be kind.

It'll be easier to move on when they're not in the jersey anymore. I've moved on but every time I see them turn out for the Tigers, it just reminds me that we have players in the team that don't want to be here.

Dear Fans,

Really disappointed in Tedesco's tale that Ivan Cleary ultimatum was the reason he was leaving. Really James?? I did think you had an IQ.
I'm old fashioned and " if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem". So farewell to you, our spiritual captain (Woodsy, so disappointing) and Moses (yet to prove anything).

Our best asset is Cleary and he will shape some substance in the future.

So looking forward to the real Tigers forming and glad the 'prima donna's' are leaving!

Kind regards

Paul S (Tiger fan since 1964) YES, I'M LOYAL!!

Yes Tedesco is full of it, if he wanted to stay he would have said coach put that offer to me again

Quicker he is gone the better

Wests Tigers star James Tedesco opens up on NRL move to the Sydney Roosters

JAMES Tedesco has opened up on his decision to quit the Wests Tigers for the Sydney Roosters in a move he is adamant wasn’t driven by money.

The NSW No.1 will move to the Chooks on a handsome four-year deal from next season but revealed if his decision was driven by the dollar, the more lucrative offer would’ve been to remain in Concord.

In search of a change and sustained success on the paddock, joining a strong club was a major draw card for the Camden product.

While Tedesco’s decision was met with great uproar form the Tigers faithful who labelled the custodian ‘money hungry’ on social media, he said he can understand why they are upset but insists the move wasn’t motivated by cash.

“The Tigers had a great offer money wise, it wasn’t about the money at all really,” Tedesco said from Blues camp in Kingscliff.

“It was a good opportunity for me to be at a strong club.

**“Obviously the fans are going to be disappointed and upset. They’re pretty passionate and I can’t thank them enough for their support over the last five or so years.\
\
“The club has done great things for me and gave me my start so it’s understandable for fans being upset. It’s all part of the game these days.”**

There’s no denying the contract drama at the Tigers was a contributing factor to Jason Taylor’s demise.

Aaron Woods, Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses were all off-contract at the same time in a contract circus which threatened to rip the club apart.

Funnily Tedesco’s former coach, Taylor, has since returned to the Roosters as an assistant coach. They’ll be forced to work with each other next year but that won’t be an issue.

Since Taylor’s exit from Concord, Tedesco, Woods and Moses have all decided to move on.

Moses has already left the club for a fresh start at Parramatta, while the NSW Origin pair will head off at the end of the season with Woods to the Bulldogs and Tedesco the Tricolours.

“It was a tough decision,” Tedesco said.

“It obviously dragged on a bit through the media.

“I told everyone I wanted to take my time, obviously with what happened last time, it was a rushed decision. I obviously changed my mind on that.

“Roosters are a strong club. I thought I wanted a fresh start. There’s obviously been a lot of dramas at the club at Tigers so far and I had the opportunity to go over to Roosters where I was a supporter of them as a kid.

“(Roosters legend Anthony) Minichiello, I spoke to him a fair few times through out it all and to have the opportunity to go over there and work pretty closely with him was pretty enticing for me. I’m looking forward to that next year but I’ve still focused on this year for the Tigers.”

Now in camp with the Blues and free of contract stresses, Tedesco confessed he feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

With clarity on where he’s headed and the Origin series opener on Wednesday to focus on, the 24-year-old believes he can finally give all his attention to playing football.

“To get away from that for a bit and have it all sorted is good,” he said of contract drama.

“We had the dramas with Mitch and that the last few weeks as well so to have all that sorted, hopefully we can turn our season around because we’ve had pretty disappointing results the last few weeks.

**“I’m looking forward to getting on with the season.”**

Nice James…should have just said that in the 1st place..

whole article can be summed up with 5 words "it is what it is"

Lots of people will say that is self-serving commentary, a retrospective spin on the decision making process to make it more publicly appealing, especially in light of the public backlash.

Personally Turdesco can go to hell, I don't care if he plays another game for the Tigers this year, he is dead to me. Less dead than Mitcheel who I am actively deathriding every week, but dead enough.

Didn't even feel sorry for him when he cross 4 times last week but couldn't cop a try.

I'm with you. I hate people like that. He lies. He has no integrity. Personally I wish him the worst and I don't think he should be playing for this club again.

x2\. At the members function in Brisbane last week I deliberately avoided Woods and Turdesco (although my son wanted a photo with him so I obliged) and made sure I spoke to players that wanted to be with the club.

Blokes like MWZ who realised they had talent and wanted to prove themselves before the chance went by and despite offers elsewhere wanted to come to the club. Chee-Kam was the same who loved the club and stayed despite having offers elsewhere to leave. Aloiai (who I spoke highly about in other threads) who wants to give it his best as he is 100% focused on being a professional footy player.

These are the guys that will make the club great (although we obviously need talent around them). I asked them all if the reputation of the club made them think twice and none were put off and like Clearly, felt the reality was different to what is reported.

As for Mitcheel, I was deathriding him so much last week it hurt (when Vossy said that the game was set up for a Mitcheel field goal to win it I was almost sick at the thought of the headlines), and I will be doing the same again tonight…..

I'm appalled with that dog Tedesco on channel 9 news tonight, blaming his performance on everything else but himself and accepting responsiblity. Lucky for him we arn't allowed to swear on this forum otherwise I would let everyone know what I really think of him and the other 2 dogs….....
