James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Tedesco is now blaming the Tigers for why he is leaving lol, he wasnt given enough time, that will do me lol

His true colours are showing now

Desperate attempt at saving face. If only he realised that to anyone whose followed this saga closely, he's doing even more damage to his image. But would he even care?

I just want this season over, these 3 erased from the clubs history, burn every bit of merchandise involving these 3, tell kids that these 3 don't deserve to wear the jumper, move on and wish them misery for the rest of their careers.

At least Ava didn't beat around the bush, no nonsense, no lies and just the honest truth

We will be a better club when the 3 stooges leave at the end of the year.Hopefully as good as 2 of them are we have nothing to do with them after 2017 as they have proved to be liars

Tedesco claimed he had not made up his mind on leaving the Tigers until new coach Ivan Cleary imposed a deadline for his decision last month, ultimately withdrawing the club’s offer after Tedesco and his management did not respond.

Not sure why this bit is news, but pretty sure his mind was made up well before Cleary. Obviously as he has stated here, Mini has been a big influence and "I was a fan of the Roosters" etc. Maybe it wasn't made up completely, but surely, if you wanted to stay at the Tigers, then there would have been more indicators that was going to happen…............there wasn't.

The superstar fullback also said he had not seen an official offer from the Tigers until one month ago, right in the middle of former coach Jason Taylor’s sacking. He ultimately signed a four-year deal with the Roosters for less money than offered by his junior club.

yeah I doubt that very much tbh, given that the club had contacted Teddy at the end of last year when the club approached him about the contract, only to be told that he didn't want to talk contract until he had changed his manager.

Speaking on C91.3 Radio, Tedesco was asked if still could have chosen the Tigers had the deadline not been imposed and said: “Possibly.

lol so he still would have strung the club along a bit further then? what until all other replacements were taken?

“We needed more time and they needed the decision quickly. There was a lot of stuff happening. Ivan just came to the club, I didn’t know how he was as a coach.
>
“I think he’s been great, personally, as a coach. We’ve had some really strong results with him. But it’s just disappointing to have that put on us. That’s the way they wanted to do it and we can’t do much about it now.

bit of a contradiction there from the first paragraph, didn't know how he was as a coach and then.....

and seriously, you've had months to decide, hardly a quick decision if it came down to the coach how much longer would it have taken?

“He [Cleary] was pretty adamant that he wanted an answer but the end of the week and that’s why they put the deadline out. They made it public, too, which was a bit … we didn’t really think there was a need for that, because it would just play out more in the media.

the whole thing has been played out in the media or did you miss Woods doing the rounds?

Regarding about an actual official offer being presented (paragraph 3) I recall Woods said the same thing - on the table for a month from around the time Taylor got punted.
Everybody is assuming they had firm offers for ever and a day - I doubt we'll ever know the real truth behind the whole fiasco.

My guess is the club was negotiating with these bozos from December trying to finalise contract details so they could write it up formally but as we've heard the players kept moving the goalposts.

And, we obviously couldn't give them a contract until things were finalised so they might not have got the official bit of paper until a month before. Bit rich for the players to complain about this though as they were the reason for the hold up by the sounds of it…

They were never going to stay. We have a great new coach. Playing much more competitive. Could easily be 4/4\. Some great new signings .eg. mautlino, mcqueen, reynolds, mwz, twal. But they didnt sign because of the board.. lol, the deadline lol. Players come and go. Look how ben hunt or josh reynolds have handled themselves, cant say a bad word abouy them. Woods and tedesco are so classless. Not man enough to say it how it is. And they keep going. They must love opening the paper and seeing their names quoted in it. They take no accountability for their actions. So in all honesty we are better of without them.

Adios Tedesco.
You will learn the hard way how ruthless the game is without results. The pressure for results will be enormous and uncle Nick would ditch you in a heartbeat for someone better on a whim.
Roosters won't stand for being out of the finals since 2011.

I'm betting Roosters won't be Tedescos last club. Mercenary journeyman will be his legacy.

Proves that time worn cliché…if u sleep with dogs like (Imoses) ,u pick up fleas. No longer understands fact from fiction.
Hes just as dishonest as the other 2 buffoons at the end of the day.

Tedesco will do quite well at the Roosters as they mostly have strong sides. I don't have Foxtel anymore and I don't watch all FTA games either so I guess I won't be seeing much of Tedesco, Woods and Moses in different colours. No matter, I tend to lose interest in ex Tigers anyway.

Who was that last big name who left? I think he went to Souths … Robbie someone.

As Girdler said last night on MMM,even though Teddy says he had only been given a 'live' contract on March 31, he would have been given multiple 'letters of offer' from last year, which are more or less the same thing. So saying "I was only given a live contract at the end of March" is a very poor excuse.

Ginaine and Girdler then went on how poor Woods and Teddy have looked throughout this contract process.

Thought it was good to see some media stating what we're all saying.

100% agree. They were always going to leave.

What has made this such a circus is they have all come off contract at the same time.

As fans, we need not worry. Dean Pay, Jason Smith, Jim Dymock and Jarrod McCracken all left the Bulldogs to join Parramatta and Brett Dallas to North Sydney. That was 5 big names at one go and they were fine and we'll be fine. Ivan seems to know what he's doing
