If this was true why wasn't this thread started last Tuesday, or the Tuesday before that. I don't believe it is fair to post a thread like this after a poor loss. If you believe this then why are you only posting it now?

He is holding us back until we get used to playing tight games with his defensive structures in place, and then he will let our attacking players loose. We obviously aren't there yet.

Most professional coaches in any sport get criticised after a few losses thats how the club stays competitive, I believe our club can be competitive therefore the thread was started.
Holding us back'''' ok team if you see a chance to score! Dont we need to deal with our defensive structure????

Maybe he didn't feel so strongly until now
I wonder how every second person knows that he's holding us back for one reason or another, any professional sports coach (especially league )wants to win each and every game. I don't believe he's holding us back for any reason . I may or may not agree with everything he does , but if he can turn a loss into a win , he would do whatever it takes,
I can just imagine him telling Moses that he's not to risk getting in front of a big back rower
Sorry? Just find the "holding us back theory" a bit ltoo hard to swallow

Now after today's effort, JT gets to see and feel what the rest off us hard suffering supporters have lived through over the years during the highs and lows of following the Wests Tigers. The highs and lows can be in the one game as we saw today. What will JT do about it, interesting to watch and see, his ability as a coach is starting to be tested above and beyond after today's result and the honeymoon wears off. On another note I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know what Grant Mayer's email address is.

As supporters, we're helpless. JT himself has the power to do things that doesn't mean he can feel how we do. Releasing the back row from last yr, and having no centre's is really starting to hurt us, like it was always going to really.

Thanks Geo

Keefy walked off the field injured and with him went the utter dominance we had, though we held things together for a little while. When he returned to the bench about ten minutes before halftime, for mine it was as obvious as the nose on Robbie's face, that he needed to be put straight back on the field to stop the rot, particularly as he would have been reasonably fresh after only a fifteen odd minute stint.

I don't think he'd be feeling too crash hot after today's effort which is about how I feel.

BeeJay, the boys do need a rest too mate, they all cant play 80mins.
Maybe Farah can stay on but Dene comes on and then slots into 2nd row when Farah comes back on.
He went much better than some today.

The rotation concept is good but ineffective atm .
The attack off the bench is 50% off, only Sue and Dene seem to be making ground.
Sorry but Ava seems to be average right now.

Just feels like they are happy with bench spots and dont want to push a claim for starting spots

Farah is an 80 minute player, and his benching at the same time each week is not helping the team.
The Farah benching, moses bombs, it's all too pre-meditated.

I still don't think Taylor has full control when it comes to selection think about who Moses is related to..,

Is he Mayers son or one of the board members relos.

If you are referring to Elias - you would be joking with what he has done to the Balmain Leagues Club.

Tough thread guys - can't say I'm brimming with confidence right now in any aspect of the WTs performance, however I'm inclined to wait another couple of months before rubbishing JT specifically. After all take a long hard look at our roster and compare it. We now have an extremely young team with the least NRL experience, we are coming off a couple of dismal years and lost a lot of solid depth at the end of last season, we bought no-one to plug any of the holes and we have a new coaching staff - were we really all expecting to find some magical improvement out of this after 7 games???
Realistically anything better than 12th this year would be a good effort. The biggest improvement will be if we go out and try our guts out each week and are hard to beat - and that will be a damn sight better than last season.
Oh, and anyone who thinks Potter had them all playing their guts out for him is just completely not worth hearing.

Hopeless coaching after 7 rounds, he is hiding behind set plays, has no idea about bench roatations, players look like zombies, sick and tired of this pretende of training the youth….
Potter was a much better coach, injuries ruined him

We win next week and JT will be the best coach in the world

I can't comment for every second person GC tiger, but from my conversations prior to the dogs game, don't expect things to change dramatically for a while yet. Regardless of the aforementioned, it has been pretty obvious since the third round that they/we have been forced to swallow it in slowly decreasing doses.

Personally, I have had a gut full and would prefer a looser rein, but Taylor knows a lot more than me, so will be happy if the long term plan comes off.

He knows a lot more than me too.. But I just wish that someone who knows him, might tell him that his holding back plan may not be working too well and maybe he could some players to actually do something

If he holds them back for too much longer, the season will be over and we'll be stone motherless last!

Yup, happens every week, month, year in footy.
We lose this week and everyone on the forum loses their marbles and we're going to get the spoon and player x needs to be dropped for player y in NSW cup- then we win and we are world beaters with 2-3 bolters for origin.
