Jeff Lima

3 GF winners (5 if you include Robbie & Fulton) who also have a number of years between them, an English international of a number of years standing and Nathan Cayless is a pretty solid amount of experience in a forward pack.
The backs will be where the inexperience shows.

What is your starting forward pack and bench for the 17 ??

Even though johnson has signed for catlans still hopeful of getting lima we will have a monster pack if he comes and have a chance at the top 4.

I like it. Add Gower to that number 17 jersey option as well. I think the main issue is who the Fonz will have as back up dummy half in the 17 and I guess that is the spot that is filled by your vacated number 14 jersey. Liam Fulton at starting lock is what I would do as well. Some people have said they want him in the 14 as a dummy half but I disagree whole heartedly. I think the Fonz may put Daniel Fitzhenry in the 14 and have him zipping out of dummy half. I hope the trials are fair dinkum this time around and not a circus like last year.

Lima obviously - woops.

Although imagine if your name was Liam Lima…

So with the kiwis out of the four nations, when do we expect them home? Since some have said we will be waiting for Lima to arrive home before an announcement is made, this becomes a point of interest. Or do we expect that Sheens will need to be home as well before such an announcement.

My guess would be that if there is no announcement withing a week of both Sheens and Lima arriving home then there is no deal. If I was a betting man, this is where my money would be also - no disrespect to those providing info to the alternative though.

With all the Lotte saga going on, the club would be rushing to make the Lima thing offical. They need some postive media press. So in saying that if we dont hear anything this week I would say all bets are off. The only thing maybe they have to wait for the Storm to make a call–who knows

just read a post on a rival board that the storms young front rower Scott Anderson has signed with the Bronks. With Dallas Johnson gone and now Anderson our chances of getting Lima now must be long odds. Hope Iam wrong because this was the signing we needed most and I dont like our fall back options. To have a big year in 2010 we need a revamped and quality front row.

Yep the Broncos have signed Anderson, Johnson is also gone from their squad, easing salary cap pressure a lot no doubt. Something tells me the club would have announced Lima by now I am sure and with Tuqiri selling up and making no indication about when he will finish in the UK you would think we are long odds there too.

I dunno maybe I am wrong, sure hope so but a lot of the so called people in the know have disapeared from the forum recently.

Remember that the storm have signed a few (not much in terms of $$$) but as they've removed players, they've signed a few too. I still think that Lima will be a Tiger next season.

This issue has well and truly gone cold hasn't it?

With preseaon training underway (albeitwith Lima in the UK) I think it is extremely unlikely that he will be back here in 2010.

So once again our off season player recruitment is pathetic.

Someone has to take control of this. Its not good enough.

Why? Don't jump the gun… we'll sign Lote, Leicester Tigers can't keep him on as the only reason they can fit him into the side is because of the injury allowance from the Salary Cap over there as they have a lot of injured players. (Atleast this is my understanding).

While the whole Lima thing looks to have turned sour this season we have gotten rid of a lot of deadwood and recruited well to have minimal impact on our salary cap which i think is a smart move as it will give us space to move next season whether it means boosting some younger guys contracts or signing players elsewhere (don't forget Moltzen will get a top up after next season if we want to keep him).

Tuamata, Cayless are both good signings... Tuamata i have no doubt will be a great addition to the squad.

Then look to the fact we have some great depth all over the field now from the backs to the forwards! We are still perhaps one prop short to say we have great quality and depth, but i still think Lima will sign. I think the Tigers have set themselves up well for the 2010 season and sometimes I don't understand what people expect from the clubs recruitment.

Totally agree. The club looks good imo.
