The one hope of getting lima was and still is homesickness ,talk of salary cap issues is bs.why.simple,its the melbourne storm inglis, slater smith cronk e.tc e.t.c every year they keep these players. Why did johnson leave salary cap, wrong.Desire too live in europe.Folau left last year, salary cap,b.s.To move to brisbane to be coser to family melbourne despite popular belief do not operate under a salary cap.trust me. :deadhorse:

They don't keep them all King, Folau, Johnson, Smith etc have all left more will, they aren't exempt from the salary cap restrictions they are just lucky to be a 1 state team which opens the door to alot of off the book deals to be sorted for their players, the salary cap does bite them considering they have won the comp twice in the last few years they would be under the microscope more than other teams and to think otherwise would be silly. They clamped down on the Bulldogs who were on fire and to think they wouldn't do it again would be a joke.

Did you read what I wrote. With king left for massive money but had he stayed in the nrl it would have been with
melbourne.

so it would appear the LIma is not leaving the storm.
no time to worry about it, get on with off-season training,.
never know one of the under 20's maybe called up and go very well.

yes, the show must go on. Its not the end of the world. But it was fun for a while with all the media speculation that he was ours. We almost had him but he slipped through our fingers. Good luck to Jeff Lima anyway.

Yep….....looks like they will have to do........http://www.rleague.com/db/article.php?id=34943" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I reckon Moors will be buy of the season along with Cayless.. The kids around 190cm and is 110kg-115kg. With Folkesy working on him in the offseason, maybe cut down on the fat and put muscle on him to maintain that weight. With that and the fitness, he can be a damaging foward. Save the money up for contract extensions, we don't need to buy a new foward IMO Moors and Cayless are two front rowers that are going to have great impact. With Keith and gibbsy and perhaps Payten, they will form one of our biggest and i think best front row combo's since inception. Save the money we dnt need Lote either!

That is interesting about Lima. I will be very upset if he is not with us in 2010\. **Our 2010 recruitment has been mediocre at best** with a list of players untried or unsuccessful at NRL level and an injured Cayless who has had reasonable success albeit quite historically.

One saving grace is that even Orford was training with the Sea Eagles as late as last week so Lima may just be there until it is announced.

I was told that Lima will be with us by someone who would have been coaching him. If he does not come, it looks like that person has also been lead down the garden path or hopefully has just been misinformed.

i wouldn't say that Coffee Two Cleary is a "mediocre at best" signing, the rest (bar cayless) have some hope in them.

i admire your spirit balmain bug. lima is good but not as good as sam burgess. his size would of been good for us. But being linked to joel clinton wouldnt be too bad either. plus we have juniors and one junior. Take it easy balmain bug. keep the dream alive.

If we released Galea and don't get Lima i'll be filthy

Wow. me too ! I will be absolutely filthy. The guy who told me we had Lima was one of our 1st grade coaches. He told me twice in two seperate conversations I had with him. I wonder what is going on? If Lima does not come , and we have lost Galea, Payne and Dayne Laurie. We will be looking very skinny in 2010.

It is a huge worry.

The recruitment abilities of this club is a huge worry.

After the four nations you will see some big -name forwards moving I still think though that thers is a hope we will get a quaity forward but I dont think it will be lima. The dogs have their nose in front of us at the moment with lima this is from a good dog source. If he comes to sydney its dogs or tigers but we are a little behind at the moment what do you guys think of sika manu.

Apparently the dogs have missed out on lima who will stay in melbourne they however apparently have signed lagi setu and will be announced in the next few days.
