Why did they dump it . With most of us can’t get enough I’m sure the 20s would rate well
The Shane Richardson NRL-wide pathways review found it was ultimately detrimental to junior development.

Yes 20s rated, but you had kids at 20, trying to crack firsts without having properly played against seasoned grown men.

It also had a mental health and expectations effect of these kids being on prime time TV as the first-grade curtain-raiser, when in reality many of these kids had still a long way to go to be first-grade ready.

How is Jordan Miller going this season?
Made his Jersey Flegg debut on Sunday with Kit Laulilii and Tallyn Da Silva.

Went really well, there wasn’t really a big dip in performance from how he played in the SG Ball semi, which is impressive because he’s moving up a grade.

He still has a lot of puppy fat, isnt built like an NRL player yet, but another pre-season with first grade will help with that.

I hope he isn't fast-tracked into the Firsts next season. Would like him to have a couple of good pre-seasons in the gym and progress from JF and then a good amount of time in Cup against open aged. He has the makings of a weapon but will need time I reckon.

The club must have a high opinion of him. I remember there were reports that he had a first grade deal lined up at Redcliffe. We must have given him a good offer to stay here.

Depends how he progresses. If he's dominating then he should gradually keep progressing. If he's struggling to keep up on a weekly basis as higher levels then by all means take some time to help him find his feet

I reckon we'll see him with a Development contract in 2024. With Feledy into top 30 & Ma'anaima unlikely to be retained, that leaves Mansfield as our only confirmed Development squad player in '24.

With 6 spots available for Development contracts, then the best indicator we have of our Dev Squad for next season are our Train & Trialists:

Tallyn Da Silva (full T&T)
Kit Laulilii (full T&T)
Tony Sukkar (full T&T)
Jordan Miller (full T&T)
Chris Fa'agutu (pre-season T&T)
Solomone Saukuru (pre-season T&T)
Oliver Lawry (pre-season T&T)

So I am assuming 5 of the above will join Mansfield in the Dev Squad in 2024 with Da Silva, Laulilii & Miller probably guaranteed top 30 in '25 & the likes of Mason, Galvin & Kanaan possibly then coming into Dev Squad in '25.
