Does training with the tigers hinder their development? I couldn’t imagine training with the worst NRL team of the last 10 years would be beneficial apart from the odd diamond in the rough
Silly comment, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime for young aspiring NRL players to become the star that they have always dreamed of.
Players such as Pole have progressed very well without a problem, hopefully Bula becomes another off the production line with many more to come.
Just because we have a bit of young talent internally, doesn’t mean we stop poaching some good young ones from rival clubs with the opportunity of becoming regular NRL players much quicker than it might happen at their current clubs.

Even Pole has started to decline a bit imo …

There’s only so much natural ability can take you before you need actual NRL development, put him in a top 4 team and he’d probably be a gun already

Of course playing in a too 4 side can enhance a players opportunities to shine and can somewhat enhance their ability.
Not many 19/20 year old middle forwards run the ball as effectively as Pole.
In my opinion starting him at 13 is a mistake, simplify his role as a strong ball running prop off the bench and let him rip and tear.
Seyfarth in his last KOE Cup game showed he has the necessary skills to to dig into the line and play out the back like all the good 13’s are currently doing.
No idea why we are not using a combination of Seyfarth and Matamua at 13 for our NRL side ?

Shenji had a plan to use a ball playing lock when they bought Hastings, which is a fair plan, now that he’s gone they seem to have gone away from that kind of thinking. Why didn’t they stick with that plan and replace him with someone similar or use our most capable, (Sayfart), and still play that style so that when we do have a better ball playing lock the whole team is playing that style.
TBH I can’t tell what their current plan is for the lock position? Some games it looks like Pole is trying to be that ball playing lock and some games it looks like he’s another prop.
I agree Pole should be our bench impact prop which means we need a lock and another run-on prop or Steph needs to pull his finger out.
How long has Sayfart been playing as a ball playing lock in reggies?

16 all at half time. We scored on the half time siren against the run of play to level it up. Kit started and had good impact early. Miller is a monster and has had a few big carries. Tallyn tried to burrow over a few times but has been held up. Trey Peni looked dangerous at fb with a bit of shape run on the right side. Feledy been well contained and hasn't had much impact yet.

Lots of penalties to Manly in 1st half. If we get an even share of possession in 2nd half, we should win this game.

how’s tallyn looked despite the attempts to burrow over?

Has been getting better as the game goes on. Dangerous out of dummy half the moment there is a slightly quick play the ball. Good crisp passing all day. Holding his own defensively too. A couple of penalties conceded early...but this ref does like to blow his whistle.

Great try there by Sione Vaihu beating about 4 or 5 defenders and showing strength to get the ball across the line. All locked up at 22 all with 20 to go.

Tallyn scores a cracker with great speed to break the line and then evades the fullback. Up 28 to 22. Kit Laulili'i's second stint has been super impressive too!

Da Silva, Miller and Laulilii all haven’t looked out of place at this level.

Miller especially has been
Thanks Tigers_Wests and KingRobbie can you both please keep your updates coming for those who can’t be at the game.
A very young Jersey Flegg team, great signs if many of them are already shining playing 2-3 years above their age group.

Fuatimua scores in the last minute. 38 to 22 win. Fantastic job by the boys today. All SG Ball players stepped up easily and should be there for the year.
Great to hear and I think good results in Jersey Flegg with many promising young players in the team is more important to the Wests Tigers future success than many may think.
Sounds like Fuatimua had some good moments ?
