Great win by the boys 30 to 18.

Pretty good performances all round. Mataale looked really impressive at prop. Backrowers Saukuru and Broederlow were a handful all game and provided plenty of threats.

Liles looked dangerous. As did Logan at fullback. He is also put his hand up for plenty of dirty carries out of our own end. Would love to see him after a full NRL pre season.

Haywood was classy as always and had some really nice touches.
Reinforce all of the above from @Tigers_Wests

I thought it was our best team performance of the season so far in JF. A HUGE difference was the inclusion of Elijah Mataale particularly & also Shaquille Tavita off the bench. Both provided size & punch through the middle.

Mataale was highly rated in our SG Ball program a season or 2 ago so great to have him back with our club, a playing style not dissimilar to Josh Aloiai.

Another HUGE difference was our kick chase efforts and celebrating each other's big moments in defence, getting pumped especially Leonard Plati! Well done to Shane Sultana & staff for this turnaround. Backed up by what you noticed at the ground @boonboon .

Saukuru had his best game for quite a while and looks to have found his spot in the backrow. Very good runs, aggressive defence & classy ball skills. Effory plays were up too. Don't write this kid off yet!

Broederlow was also immense on the other side in both attack & defence. Got clear at one stage and showed a nice step, put a huge hit on to draw an error and was generally strong.

Deininger (Brookes) looked more comfortable & assertive at the back today. Kanaan was great on the wing, Mitch Taotua also good (maybe a defensive error or 2) at centre held up once & penalised for a double movement another time and Haywood was astute and classy in his 60-odd minutes at dummyhalf.

Well said BWG!

Any idea where Mataale was playing earlier this season? Very impressed by him.

Shaq looked a dominant force with ball in hand. Looked a little gassed when we had to defend though. Definitely limited minutes high impact type of forward moving on from here.

St Marys in Sydney Shield until 2 weeks ago for Mataale.

I saw Shaq as a high school player, he absolutely dominated that level. Any further reports on how he went? Good kid.

Nice. Positives the club needs right now.

I find it strange that we continually name Christian Taupau-Moors (about the 3rd or 4th time it has happened now) and then pull him out on game day. Really keen to see how he goes in Flegg and it would be great for his development.

Great to see Logan Deinenger as a late inclusion. But equally puzzled by Archie Duncombe being moved to 18th man after being one of our best last week.
Looks like a club that has absolutely no systems in place for development. No one overseeing it either. A complete shambles, nothing is strategic or planned. Just random decisions made on a weekly basis.

30-18 full time. Tigers could have scored 4 or 5 more dominated the top of the table Sharks.

Plenty of talent in thus side but what I really liked live at the ground was the attitude in defence and the talk across the side - really motivated
That's the impact of the new coach. Sultana did a great job at this with a Balmain side lacking quality.

Sounds like a great win for the club, coach and players.
May it be the first of many more to come!
