Tyler Field back, that is welcome news. Tumeth's first U21 appearance, well done. Alexander unlucky to be on the interchange but Ogden is back.

Good to see Tyler Field back from a long injury lay off. That side is stacked with talent...plenty of strike in the backline and grunt in the middle. Might try and go to Lidcombe and watch this one.

Felix smith seems like he’s been around for years…I’m sure he played NSW cup in 2019

Yeah I think he played up in a couple of games there. Not sure what's happened with him, maybe one of those gun players at a young age who hasn't quite kicked on. I don't think he's particularly tall for a prop so maybe his size has come back to the field a bit.

I think @willow you’ll find he has been injured. Not the only current squad member from 2019 who played Cup back then.

For me he will get better and better this year as the season plays out. He’s a solid worker who never stops.

I’ll have in my team any day.

If you get to Lidcombe, may as well stay for the nsw cup game too! I'll be trying to get there as well.

For anyone interested, Tyler Field is on the interchange this week. A 5/8 with great potential and former Aust Schools rep. I wish him the best. Also a standout in the Balmain sides and junior rep sides, Brandon Tumeth. He is a try scoring second row forward.

both future prospects to keep an eye on. you see Field as a 6 as opposed to a 7?

Field played in the halves in NSW cup preseason trials. Should probably get a call up again if he's fit, or at the least push stefanovic out of this side, but that may disrupt things a bit much.

EJ Lui also not named in either grade but will probably play in one of the grades.

A good 6.. I'm sure if he hadn't been injured he would have been the NSW Cup 6.

So I found today through one of my mates who coaches in South Sydney's junior ranks and has just switched over to coaching Coogee Bay Dolphins under 20's now that Harold Matts is done, came up against Ryde Eastwood last weekend...

Turns out quite a few of WT Flegg players, the ones who played in KOE last Thursday, were told to play on Sunday also. The Coogee team are very well coached and coming off back to back grand final wins through the under 17's and 18s and have now stepped up to the 20's...

My mate said his boys went set for set with Ryde for the first 20 minutes but were eventually blown off the park 42-0. He didn't see it coming...

What's the story here? 🤔

Good to see Tumeth get a run. Not sure on Field, good runner of the ball but not much else.

anyone know much about Felix Niutili-Schmidt? article in the paper today about him playing against his twin brother this weekend v Thunderbolts. his former coach says the tigers made Felix 'an offer he couldn't refuse'. must be a handy player and one we've kept an eye on for a while, anyone got more info?

Pole was also a Thunderbolts' player.

He's developing his game in the lower grades. I tend to think of a lower grade player as a blank canvass with good coaching to put the polish on. Good luck to him as I like his game,

Is he the tall and rangy secondrow forward? If so, he is always in the play, one of those team players busy in attack and defence. Also runs the ball with gusto.
