Maybe everyone should have to put their pics up to be judged, I know I'm the best looking guy on here.

I am dead set mortified with Pascoe’s presentation .
As our CEO he should be setting an example to to each employee of the club.
The culture of any organisation starts from the top.

You can bet when he interviewed for the position he didnt present like that.

No he didn’t, he has only looked like that since Cleary screwed him and the club - hasn’t been the same bloke since.

Someone tell me how our playing roster is any better than when he turned up 5 years ago. Are we more attractive as a club to possible recruits?
No, he a massive fail that fits in well here.
His appearance shows he either has no pressure on him at all from the board or that he just given up.

Dennis Burgess is still on the Wests Board isn't he? Maybe Pascoe is just on his way towards emulating... needs to grow it out more before he goes peroxide.![204bcbbe-6052-4d80-8844-d946e385d142-image.png](/assets/uploads/files/1605275141079-204bcbbe-6052-4d80-8844-d946e385d142-image.png)

Re Pascoe:

Some seem to be judging a book by its cover.

He's not quite as cool as Keanu, but I'd say Justin is clearly the Matthew McConaughey or Woody Harrelson of CEOs. Have no issue with his hair or attire in such a leisurely/casual meeting tbh.

I think boys unfortunately with Pascoe - he tries hard, he does his best, but he's just not good enough. I don't know who else we could get bc Grant Mayer was ordinary too. My business partner used to be on the board of the Sharks and they had the same issues too with the CEO - whole Damian Keogh thing.

Personally I'd be getting Madge in front of the players - why they hell are Pascoe and Lee doing it? At least Madge can talk footy to impress the player - the suits should only come in to negotiate with the agent for the $. Unless you have quality personell like Rusty, Uncle Nick or respected professionals.

Our admin guys should stay right out of talking to players. (Hartigan the exception)

Serious question: Does anyone know the ballpark figure for the salary on a NRL club CEO?

I’m guessing around 500k but I have no idea. I’m assuming there could be some big disparities between clubs.

Inner West Chic. I don't know what the issue is really. He's got WTs into the Black. Maguire is responsible ultimately for the roster and he is the one I will hold responsible if we are picking up Mansour and co.

Wests Tigers left 'really impressed' after meeting with unwanted Rabbitoh James Roberts

Details have emerged over the Wests Tigers secret meeting with clubless centre James Roberts with reports the former Rabbitohs star left a good impression on Tigers powerbrokers.
Roberts was informed by South Sydney last month that he would not be required next season having played just 18 games for the club since arriving halfway through last year.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Friday the former NSW Blues speedster was seen meeting with Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe and other club officials at an inner west cafe.

Speaking to Triple M, The Australian's Brent Read revealed Roberts was impressive in his first sit down with the Tigers, despite talks only being preliminary.
"There's not a lot of interest around Jimmy and I can understand, there's a bit of a smell around Jimmy these days," Read told Triple M.
"He's found his way to three clubs now, but the Tigers are in a bit of a desperate situation now after what happened with Josh Adoo-Carr not being allowed out of Melbourne.
"They're saying it's very preliminary with James Roberts at the moment, it's very early stages, it was more of a meet and greet to get to know what sort of guy he is.
"But speaking to people at the club they walked away really impressed with Jimmy and where's he's at and the way he presented himself.
"I don't think it's close but I don't think he's hurt his chances today of getting a deal with the Wests Tigers."
Their interest in Roberts comes just a day after it was confirmed Addo-Carr would be remaining with the Storm despite seeking a release and agreeing in principle to join the Tigers in 2021.
While it's expected Addo-Carr will attempt to shift to the Tigers when off-contract at the end of next season, the Concord club could look to acquire Roberts immediately, with the Herald reporting the 27-year-old could accept a pay-cut of over $400,000 to join his fifth NRL club.
At his best Roberts is rated among the best centres in the game, however off-field matters have tainted his career in recent seasons.
Speaking on Triple M, Panthers great Ryan Girdler said Roberts' "baggage" made him a huge risk for any NRL club.
"You need to make an investment thinking you're going to get 26 maybe 30 rounds out of the player and I don't know if he's got that in him," Girdler said.
"They've got Joey Leiliua there as well at the moment and we know what Joey's like and he missed a bit of last year through suspension.
"He's the kind of guy that you roll the dice on a little bit, and they've done that, I'm not sure if they can afford to do that too many more times.
Girdler added: "Are the Tigers the club for Jimmy? That's what you need to think about as well.
"In the right organisation maybe he's got a couple of really good seasons in him but he's got to go somewhere where they've got a lot of stability, a really good core senior group and someone who can keep him in line

On the right deal this could be a very good signing for Tigers, and for Roberts. If both parties know....
To quote Moneyball....
"How about you and I be honest about what each of us want out of this? I want to milk the last ounce of baseball you got in you, and you want to stay in the show. Let's do that. Now, I'm not paying you for the player you used to be - I'm playing you for the player you are right now. You're smart, you get what we're trying to do here. Make an example for the younger guys, be a leader. Can you do that?"

Girdler is correct. We cannot carry two of these types.

If our systems were in place and producing fast young backs, we would not be forced to rely on Joey Leilua's and to a lesser extent Roberts. When are we going to see fast young backs promoted to the NRL from our juniors? I believe Maguire should be able to answer this question as he has been here for some time.
