Got home, browsed the forum, where is the love for this guy? he was just about our best player tonight. Scored a great try, set another one up and defused a potentially dangerous kick-off after we scored our last try. He's our biggest unsung hero. He's no superstar but he turns up every week and does his job. A blue collar type player every club needs. He's hoping he gets rewarded with a new contract. He's deserves one.

His the Fulton of our backs. Does his job week in week out. After reading potters words about him and the way his taken our young backs under his wing speaks volumes of the kinda guy he is. I hope he gets a new deal deserves it. Mr fixit for our back line.

outside backs: richards, nofo, lawrence, ayshford, moltzen, simona. these are the ones contracted for next year and probably koro as well. reddy has just about been our best back this year.

i have always said that the criticism reddy got last year was injustified and he's shown that this year. been a supporter of his since day 1 and i hope he can continue his form

The bloke puts in every week, but unfortunately, I can't see him in our full-strength side next year. He definitely deserves a new contract for sure, but I think he'll end up like Mitch Brown, in and out of first grade to fill in injuries.

I think people have missed something here. Reddy started the game strongly at left centre hitting holes very well at pace. He then moved to an edge backrower where i was shocked to see a fantastic workrate in defence and a very dangerous running option off the halves. I thought i was watching Boyd Cordner.

Sometimes i ask myself if we can afford 2 backrowers under 100kg but if they are performing better than those over 100kg then why not.

Reddy is tall and lanky, provides hole running options for our 6 and 7 and going on last night, works very hard defensively. If he can put on 3 kg he could be a very effective and mobile backrower.

Great game by Joel Reddy and i havent been a fan of his so im happy to see him put egg on my face.

Hard to argue against that.

He's been solid all year. Consistent and I agree with the statement he is our Fulton in the backs.

Joel Reddy is exactly the kind of player we need at the moment. 100% commitment & effort and great example setter for the up-and coming players. He and Liam Fulton are team work horses. It will be a crime if his effort is not rewarded with a contract extension. If it isn't obvious, I'm a Reddy fan.

sorry to disagree but reddy is only a steady centre does not break the line at all and has defenvise issues at times.
But last night when moved to the backrow what a great game he had his defence was great and his work rate was also of the highest standard, i think he may have found his true spot.

Mate he was not in the backrow.

Reddy has perfectly filled the gap left by Brown's departure, imo. Before the start of last season we bought Reddy for $? and Blair for $$$? - I know who has been the most value for us in the past 18 months.

Yes he was

I've always rated Reddy. I couldn't believe Parra let him go and he quietly arrived at our club with little noise

Great to see him play well

Reddy was dreadful last year. Couldnt tackle to save his life.

However, he has been a very handy squad player this year and it is a testament to never giving up on a player.

Reddy defended three in last night and did a good job. And from memory, he had Lawrence and the winger outside him when he scored.

Don't be surprised if he fills a bench spot in a full strength team to cover back row rotation and injury to backs.
