Josh Aloiai #190

I think he's been great so far. Very promising. As Stevetiger says, he's only good for about 20 minutes, but that's typical for someone his age.

Good resigning, he's been solid so far this year and shown more than some of the "leaders".

Although interesting that it's another player off contract at the end of 2017? I know the cap will go up, but gee we have a huge amount of players off contract at the end of next year. Good and bad position to be in…we can keep who we want and cut loose some of the dead weight, but we could also potentially lose some of our best and be paying overs to get players to join. It's a bit of a 50/50 call IMO.

Also having so many players off contract at the same time could be a huge distraction within the playing group.

He looks okay to me but I reckon he only has about 20 minutes of quality effort per week.

Long as it's a quality 20 minutes and we're not paying overs. We struggle from the 30-50 minute mark, so a kid who can fill that gap is a welcome addition to the bench. At the right price of course.

Better than an expensive 80 minute plodder.

Could have 20 NRL games under his belt injury gods permitting by next season ,next season should see him come on a lot ,a good signing for the future.

20 years old more than holding his own…Good signing that's not breaking the bank giving a lot of value...

Well done Josh...

I think he's been solid. Much prefer Josh in the 17 over Buchanan.
I'm sure there's more improvement to come from Josh.
Best of luck to him for this season and next.

The next generation Bryce Gibbs, good for 3 penalties on the 4th tackle every game, 3 errors coming out of our end every game and pulls off 3 good tackles every game so he gets a pass. And the mediocrity cringe that is the West Tigers rolls on.

I agree. I think you can work on the lack of quality minutes as well.

i have not been impressed with josh at all he never breaks the line and his defence is o.k at best, really he is a NSW cup player. solid player but i doubt he will make a very good 1st grader.

For a young bloke finding his feet in 1st grade I think he has been good. Is versatile and hopefully will improve with experience

He has improved game on game and was one of our best v Melbourne

if we could say the same about the rest of our squad we be in far ,far better place

Well deserved and well done , keep up the good work Josh

To be signed on a 1 year deal you know he would of not cost alot . I think a $120k - 140k would of been the going rate for him next year ( i'm guessing ).

Congrats to the kid has taken his chances with both hands and should only keep getting better.

Gee and to think that we are probably paying Sirro 2 to 3 times more makes me sick .

I don't understand the hate for him. He is 20 years old having not really played at all last year. Sure he has made a couple of mistakes but he is having a crack. He is more aggressive than most of our forwards and has so much potential. Personally i'm stoked that he has been given an extension and i hope this will be the first of many as he improves in the future.

Congrats to the young fella, I really think this guy will be something special. A big unit that hits hard and having more of a go than some of our more high profile players. At 20yrs old he will only get better with the more experience he gets in the top grade. I'm really happy with this resigning
