all i will say is watch the other 7 games this weekend and see how the better backrowers preform and then compare it to joshs game, if people cannot see what i mean then they have no football sence.

That will give you a good idea of how good he is bp.

Just remember though to only compare him to those backrowers who have played 8 NRL games.

Or do you think it is fair to compare him to Parker, Jackson, Taumalolo etc.?

Yes, he is only 20 years old as well. He said he also likes the coaching staff, so he will not be popular with the JT haters.
 
Fantastic game tonight from Josh. He looked right at home out there. I guess his re-signing gave him a real lift. If he can be consistent at that level, his being on board will be much appreciated by plenty of wt fans.
 
Was great tonight played more minutes…lot of improvement in him....
 
His best game in first grade. Still only 20, he could be massive in 2 years time. For now he is doing an awesome job off the bench
 
Thanks, hopefully ok for next week. I rate him with that word 'potential'. I think he needs to keep playing first grade and hopefully play bigger minutes next season. Others with 'potential' have been given long enough.

To be honest I haven't seen much talent or potential but would liked to be proved wrong. Just hope it doesn't take until the 2019 season to see it
 
So we had 3 concussions yesterday? Taking our toll to 15 in 10 matches?!

We're averaging 1.5 concussions a game at present. Something seriously wrong about that. It might be unlucky, head in the wrong spot some of the time, but those numbers are alarming.
 
Maybe we need to take preventative steps. If memory serves me right Thurston often plays in protective headgear - why dont we go the next step and make it compulsory for our players?

kevin naiqama will need custom head gear for his hair do.. lol

I dont think there are too many players keen on playing with a headgear

Just like some players in lower grades of cricket refuse to use a helmet.
They are not used to it

Are those numbers (for concussion tests) out of the ordinary? Seems to be at least 2-3 per game from what I've seen. There was 5-6 on Friday night alone.

I'd suggest if we are having trouble with concussion, even the perception of trouble, under duty of care, it is a real assistance the club can provide. Players will get used to it- at least it is not a American NFL style helmet. Why not try it?

I think it's been proven that head gear doesn't prevent concussion. Even NFL-style helmets cause as many problems as they solve (players go harder and lead with the head when they wear them.)
 
Headgear does nothing.

I'd suggest any sport which averages even one concussion test a game is in trouble. I didn't see Fridays's game but 5-6 off field concussion tests is ridiculous.

A player should be forced to retire after 3 concussions. If there are that many happening per game the game needs to change.

And i'm certainly not one against the rough stuff or big hits, but no other sport in the world has a concussion rate like that.
