Josh Aloiai #190

He's an athlete - look at the size of him and How OLD~?
Leg drive will be top tier in a few years.

Dw Milky, he'll develope into something real good.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "middle player" or "middle forward"?

Do they just play in the middle of the field or they play the "middle" minutes of the match?

Gee give the guy a chance there are not too many 20 year olds in their first NRL season that play 80 minutes.
Like GNR said he is only a pup, and I rate him.

As do I. Taylor is not making the same mistake he did with Lovett last year. lovett got thrown to the wolves early and played more minutes than he should have, and he wasn't up to it as we all saw. Lovett is showing steady improvement this year but I see more potential in Aloiai, he's more powerful but needs to build up his endurance. Look for him to really kick on next year IMO.

Yeah middle part of the field Gary - lock, props and hooker.

Lovett has been relatively good but I'm not sure what his role will be going forward. He doesn't seem to have anything to set him apart at this point apart from his ability to play decent minutes.

Aloiai runs seem to have a lot of power. I reckon he could turn into a really good player.

He runs hard & hits hard for 20-30 minutes a game. Pretty good for a 20 yr old. He'll be a gun impact forward once he gets his endurance up. Worth the wait I think.

I think he has great potential but to be honest I barely notice him out there. I guess it's the low minutes.

He has size and makes metres after contact - at this stage in my not so expert opinion he'll end up a prop

I wouldn't be starting him, and I'd also drop him back to intrust cup every so often so he can play more minutes at a lower level. Playing half an hour every week won't really build up his endurance.

And while he looks and plays like a prop, he's been used as a back rower so should be compared as such. He is practically invisible on the field though and does need to lift his involvement in attack, go looking for the ball more etc

Wonder why Edwards is not yet playing NRL in place of Him or Lovett. When he was signed we all thought here is that hard nosed player like Scott from Parra ..haven't seen any Intrust games and media coverage isn't great ?

Just saw this on the NRL page

I don't remember it either , I know he is free to play with an early plea , but I was wondering if anyone even noticed it ??

I can't remember anything from the game so that's a bit of a surprise.

Come's as surprise to me as well, if it is a non-event he could probably challenge it to keep his sheet clean, the trouble is with copping the early plea the loadings can come back to haunt you later on.

Does anyone have a link to video of this trip? Can't remember anything of it at the game.
