Josh Reynolds on Sterlo

I stated in another thread, Teddy and the Rorters are a perfect match. As is Sharon & Klemmer.

At this point in time I believe Josh Reynolds and West Tigers are a perfect match.

What makes you say Tigers and Reynolds a perfect match?.

Attitude, competitiveness, will to win for the team.

The traits we are lacking that will build a strong culture that can lead us into semi finals football and perhaps eventually a competition win.

I said to a friend at work who's a Bulldogs supporter last year that they would have been better off chasing Brooks as I think that they will complement each other,Brooks organising and Reynolds a running half.
We'll see how it pans out next season.

Bulldogs were trying to shop Reynolds for years.. he is an off field Dugan type.

really?

ive heard the exact opposite

JR is the guy who went to every one of his team mates children's birthday parties, even went to 2 in one day.

Very impressive interview. I have no doubt he just the player Cleary wants at the Tigers and he might not have the skills of a Moses but he brings other qualities that we have lacked for years

There's wasn't many good halves /5/8 waiting around to be signed. I still think that there was a hint of desperation that we had to get someone, and he was the only candidate. I hope we don't live to regret it .

Geez - as long has plays well Ill be happy. We have paid him plenty, hope goes well anyhing else he brings is irrelevent if we dont win some games.

Interesting in that interview they showed how he played #9 in the beginning for the Dogs side, so I guess we never know where he might end up…

Probably doesn't get invited to many adults birthday parties, and figures he's too big for the kids to kick out.

A Bulldogs mate of mine reckons #9 is his true position and he only went to #6 because of Ennis .
Personally I think he needs the space at #6 to run and exploit the defence.

Best thing we can do to get Reynolds fully onboard as a Tiger is to do a full on Reynolds chant at our first home game.

Seems to me that if we show him some love he will pay it back in spades.

That's exactly what I took away from the interview. He seems to thrive on fan passion. As you said, we need to show him we are behind him 100% from day one and we will get the best out of him. He definitely needs to believe he has made the right choice.

He stated that he wants to come here and to be a leader, whilst also acknowledging the dollars, new coach and his current club, so what's not to like apart from his grubbiness. The surprise was seeing him in a chooks jersey as a youngster.

Thanks to Steve for the heads up, as I recorded a replay that I would not have caught otherwise.

Great interview, just watched it.

Sure was. Comes across as an absolute champion fella. Very respectful…...makes a refreshing change from half-witted imbeciles ala Fifita, Ferguson etc. Can't wait to have him representing our club.
Hoping he stays injury free and hits his straps in the WT jersey.

Yep managed to catch this one, and Teddy's. Chalk and cheese if you ask me.

One was respectful, thoughtful, thankful and humble with a lot of honesty from a guy still happy to wear his current team's colours even though he is leaving the club. The other was Teddy.

While Teddy is a future star, I think I'd rather be in the trenches with Reynolds. Just hope he still has quality in him to give the team.

First thing I noticed was that even though Grub was pushed out of the club he was still wearing the Bulldogs colours. Compare that to Teddy who was offered the biggest deal in league history by the Tigers wearing a Nike shirt. I don't know about anyone else but that just seems really disrespectful to me.
