I'd go as far to say that unless a stray North Korean missile hits the team bus, anything less than 8th is not acceptable next year. Madge and Hartigan have made a concerted effort to improve the roster. Stacked in the outside backs and front row/lock. A few options in the halves and the only place we lack is second row and fullback (Mbye is a reasonable short term option here if they coat his hands in super glue.)

Just think, it will be what Brooks brings to each game will be key. No pressure😃

Only teams I see dropping out of the 8 are sharks and knights, we’ll have to compete with quite a few other clubs to try take that spot. It won’t be easy at all to make it but if we can play our best consistently we can do it

Use some of that cash to give Noffa a top up for this year to entice him to stay. Just to please Jedi and Paws 😆

Wests Tigers have today confirmed that Josh Reynolds has been granted a release from the remainder of his contract to take up a long-term deal with Hull FC.

The 31-year-old Reynolds was contracted to the club until the end of the 2021 NRL season.

Since arriving at the start of the 2018 season, the former State of Origin representative has played 22 games for Wests Tigers — including the 150th appearance of his NRL career.

Reynolds said he would cherish his time spent as part of Wests Tigers.

“I am grateful to Wests Tigers for the opportunity to represent this great club,” Reynolds said.

“I’d like to thank all the Members, fans, administrators and coaches for their ongoing support. I’ll miss my teammates the most, and I wish them and the club all the best next season.”

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe wished Reynolds well and thanked him for his service.

“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to thank Josh for his contributions to the club and wish him well as he takes up this new opportunity in his career,” Pascoe said.

“Despite a number of setbacks in his time with Wests Tigers, Josh has always endeavoured to put the team and the club before himself. He departs this club with the utmost respect of all the players and staff, and we wish him nothing but the very best for the future.”

Josh Reynolds was awesome at Dogs, helped lift a shy Hodkinson so they both became nsw halves, and that was one of the few years they win in the period. Didn't work out at Wests for reasons but I think he is a nice bloke and full of heart.

Or give Nofo the flick and make JAC a deal he can’t refuse😎

All the best to JR. Didnt work out for us hope he goes well the SL.

Nice to get some cap space to go after players we need to complete the squad.

To clarify the 'Unlucky with Injury' thing.

His shoulder injury in his first off season with us was less unlucky and more mucking around on a scooter in Bali.

And here's silly me watching and thinking it happened when he scored a try at Leichhardt Oval.

J.Rey moving on to ESL will be the best thing for him and the WTs....it relieves some cap space for us,and he gets to play competative football at a high level where he can produce the quality that got him selected in SOO..
I wish he could have stayed injury free and played more for us,he is a quality player now in the twilight of his career,I honestly think his best attributes are the NRL experience he has had and his willing to teach younger players the game..
I know many are glad he is gone, but beside the negatives and constant degrading of the man, they failed to see he had worked hard and gave 100 percent to whoever he played for..I dont think many people in reality wish him badly just success in his new career..

For a few $ more to remain loyal! Got it.

I don't wish him badly or dislike him personally, I just don't think he's a very good player and am glad he's not taking up valuable salary cap money anymore.

With Reynolds gone it removes another excuse for non performance in 2021....

28 of the eventual 30 will All have been recruited re-signed/extended by the current recruitment team..

Not his team won't fly in 21...

How many of them actually signed from outside tigers? Sometimes you re-sign guys because there’s no better options like Seyfarth. Obviously he should get them performing but I still don’t think we will make the 8 next season.

Doubt Reynolds money is used for much good anyway considering how little options there are on the player market at the moment

Still have to have time to replace that player... otherwise, it is wasted cap, and it the same as having Reynolds

There’s very little on the market too. It won’t make a difference to our 2021 campaign at all most likely. Still an average roster overall.

How many signed outside the Wests Tigers?

Douiehi, Kapaoa, Leilua x2, Ofahengaue, Tamou, Musgrove, Simpkin, Roberts, Utoikamanu, Blore, Walters...about half

Less than half, and a couple of them rookies. Still a roster hamstrung by issues of the past. Obviously Madge needs to work with what he’s got but 2022 is still the big year where he will have a lot more choice in the squad. It’ll be interesting to see how the squad goes next season, they could kill it or they could flop imo

Nope. This is his team now.

Definitely more so than last year, but not completely imo. Still no excuse not to get them going though, work with what you’ve got. Like I said if we play our best every week, we will make the 8.

How many coaches have completely their team? Stuff all. I like the team he’s put together but it’s on him now. No more excuses.

I think maybe Bellamy, Robertson, Arthur and Stuart have completely their own teams to start with.

I think the 4 I mentioned with coaches that have their own complete team have surpassed the the ones you mentioned where the coach does not have their own complete team.

The other successful team - Souffs - have the supposed "Master coach" who only goes where he can win a comp, and then leaves them in disarray (looking forward to him doing that to Souffs).

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. The others made the 8, Titans came 9th (coach in first year), Warriors came 10th (coach joined mid season).

I don't care about last season though, I care about 2021, and there should be no excuses anymore, especially with Reynolds now gone too.
