No. Reynolds was terrible. The best place for him for us is clearly not on the park. The more he played the more obvious it was that he was hopeless.
This is not stating that Mbye is a good buy. He has been a pretty poor buy.
Certain results say we actually played some of our best footy with Reynolds on the park this year
V Canberra 14-6 (Loss) if I remember correctly we were well in this game until a few mishaps from Packer cost us
V Bulldogs 34-6 (win) Apart from the broncos games probably our most complete 80 min performance
V Cowboys 36-20 (win) 36-0 at half time and clocked off heavily in the 2nd half (due to injuries mainly)
V Penrith 19-12 (loss) another quality 80 min performance from the team, deadlocked with 10 mins to go against the eventual grand finalists and team that went on a 16 game winning streak.
V Souffs 20-12 (loss) absolutely nothing went our way in the 1st half, I hate blaming referees but he gave us absolutely nothing.
So basically our losses with him in the starting line up were against high quality teams, and not by much
Not as “terrible” as you state, if we go off team performance
Too be honest in some of those games the opposition wasn't even trying, the Bulldogs and Cowboys games were the worst defensive games I have ever seen. We would get down there end of the field and their defense was non existant.
Haha the old “the opposition weren’t even trying” because we totally outplayed them. Never gets old
Maybe if we use that for every flogging we’ve copped over the years people will excuse us
