Squad up 👻😤
Exciting bunch. I know it's hard to compare years but I reckon our Harold Matts squad this season was better than our undefeated squad 2 years ago especially in the forwards.

Godinet, Taupau-Moors, Taai, Ashton Large, PJ French, Havea Jr ... and then our 2 elites in the backline in Makasini & O Large. Would have won the comp if Large didn't get injured 😉

Pic from the DT today in the Haemasi Makasini story on making the Wallabies U18 squad. It's from about a month ago but begs the questions why these 5 specifically were organised for a pic in WT training gear. Here's hoping!

I knew 4/5 were training with firsts every now and again but I didn’t know Taai was getting reps too. he’s a classy footballer.

A very scrappy game. Ref kind of losing control, could have easily been a few sin bins, i get keeping all the players on the field for a big match, but they have been warranted.
Haywood barely sighted. Only touched the ball a couple of times. Patrician spent most of the half deep in their own end. No real standouts from either side. Halangahu looks decent but he's not huge, not sure how he will go against men.
Palm beach have looked the better side, winning the forwards battle and backs are sharper.

Haywood's come into it in the 2nd half. A great break from dummy half making 30-40m out of his half. 5 mins later beautiful cut-out ball try assist to tie the game.
