Justin Pascoe on 2ky 8am today

With the signings, Pascoe explicitly said about the reformed recruitment 'team' in an interview. The aim is to remove the risk we had in the past of the backloaded contracts (same predicament the Bulldogs are in now) by having only 1 person responsible for contracts with no oversight.

So, recruitment never solely came down to Cleary. Say all you like, but we can't pin him for much there.

Rochow and McQueen

Pita Godinet anyone?

Latu was a done deal either a swap for mcqueen, or without the swap,up until the peachey backflip scenario, the OP still thought he would be going to the tigers

Like I said, it's not solely on Ivan. I'm pretty sure the selection group is Pascoe, <insert coach="" here="">, David Warwick and Kelly Egan.</insert>

Pretty sure we can put Godinet on Ivan. Played with him at the Warriors and didn’t even have a contract in 2017\. I doubt he would have been on anyone’s radar.

I question the departure of Moses and subsequent recruitment of Reynolds. Reynolds is a fine player but Moses is an x factor player whom we badly need. Maguire certainly would have changed him.

If Maguire wants him, he could pick him up much cheaper now.

True and I hope we have another look at him. A dose of humility after being moved on might be the making of him within Maguire's strict regime.

Sorry, it's a NO from me.

Moses dogged this club, sooked and ran.

I would be concerned for Mitchell's mental health should he return…banner hating on you from your own supporters would weigh heavily on ole slimey..

Do you recall watching those games he tanked while playing for us? That's unforgivable in professional sport, why would we go back there?

I can see where our team could fit in a woman beater, another who threatens a woman by email and half a dozen other scumbags and lowlifes. Perhaps the club would make a special release of beater shirts for fans! But, wanting to bring home one of our own who has a bit of an attitude problem, absolutely no way!

But _MOSES_ has to feel that dose of humility. Not just the wider NRL community assuming that he has.
I doubt he sees the need to feel any humility at all.

While I'm no fan of Gould, maybe he hasn't mastered this at all. Cleary, by some accounts, instigated his move to Penrith, and I believe has been working toward it for some time. Remember Gould saying when the truth comes out people will see it's not on him. Cleary gets one over on Gould, gets his multi million dollar payout for himself and his kid. Since everyone believes Gould orchestrated this he surely can't sack Clearly as he would look like a fool paying out a million a year. Clearly may have played Gus into a corner.

I dont doubt that assessment at all. As I said earlier, I put this firmly on Cleary's shoulders.

I don’t believe Gould one bit. Being passive about it but knowing exactly what is going on and what the outcome will be is not the same as not being involved. He could just sit back and watch it unfold, as long as it went his way. Having said that I think Penrith have stuffed up big time here. I don’t see what IC brings apart from keeping NC there. Gould raves about NC like he is the next Fitler. Time will tell but keeping NC surely must be the only reason to have IC there.

I understand the strong feeling toward him. I believe we should give him another chance. He is a match winner, provides that x factor and is one of our local juniors. As Masterton mentioned, we could pick him up at a more reasonable rate.

You've got to be taking the piss. He shouldn't be allowed near our club again. If you want us to have any credibility we need to be looking at smarter options, not a selfish tool that cant tackle.
