How many Current Tigers players would play first grade in the top teams???

Maybe Luch,
Maybe Adam Doeuhi,
Maybe Joffa...

The rest are good up and coming players that will need some time..

Brooks definitely, Twal, Mikaele, Talau, Laurie, Nofoaluma.

Twal, on the bench possibly....

Based on form, the others wouldnt make Mel, Panthers, Roosters etc

However, there is so much potential to build around under the guidance of Madge

back Madge, but for goodness sake put some decent people around him.

Back Madge and allow him to build a decent squad.

Is it too much to ask for him to get the best out of the players he’s got?

Or make improvements in defence. I’d take a 10% improvement at this stage.

You know if he buys or re-signs players, he can't be held responsible if they fail. He must be given time to find new replacements if they come which is no certainty.

And remember if the new replacements come and perform the same, it has nothing to do with his coaching, it's the soft underbelly of the club. And If needs to replace those players too, so be it. He should be appointed coach for life, like a rugby league version of Kim Jong-Un.

Plenty of our players would make FG in other sides. We just don't have quality in the key positions. Our half can play but in the seven seasons he has been in FG with us we are yet to find a combination that is successful. Our current pack would all get a go in most other packs and at the very least a bench spot. We compete in most games but don't have the quality to match the best teams.

Says the guy who heralds Ivan Cleary who made 4year over inflated deals with washed up players that were our worst signings in history and then ran to a ready made team of young superstars.

Cleary was very poor at recruitment, no doubt. Good coach though.

Sure he is, but this is not an easy coaching role and Ivan didn't see it through and if any thing made the incoming coaches job even more difficult. He doesn't deserve any glorifying from WTs supporters.

I voted to keep him but only on the proviso that he upgrades our assistant coaches. Whoever is in charge of defence needs a rocket up the date.

Doesn't Madge handle the defence himself?
I don't think there is a defensive coach.

Then we are in big trouble. But this is part of the problem - the defence has been an issue for years and yet we just keep doing the same stuff. Melbourne have a defensive consultant ( probably just another name for their wrestling coach ). Its obvious the defence isn't working under Madge - he needs to bite the bullet and employ a defensive coordinator. Maybe they could be used across all grades so anyone moving through the ranks has an understanding of the structures straight away.

I voted to dump him based purely on our inability to defend properly.

No other criteria should be considered.

I don't like Cleary at all, was just saying I think he's a good coach.

We need a coach that can attract the top players, We have plenty of money yet they won't come here even on overs.

Winninf games and becoming a club with a good culture attracts players not just the coach

Unite - the touch judges behind our goal posts
Commit - school boy errors

It is what it is ...
Win .. applaud
Lose ..rant
That’s how we roll

Draw....... a bit of both?

The coach is very defensive at times.

Funny how the Huth and Momo get a run at the undefeated 'Riff when many on here thought they shouldn't be in our 17.

As I have said a few times, we have a great crop coming through and I genuinely don't think Madge is the right coach for them. Who has really developed under him?

But...

I am not sure there is a real alternative available. Cameron Ciraldo may be very good, but also a risk.

Ciraldo would give us deep contacts within the NSW rep level junior ranks + elite level players love him. Those would be two huge pluses. And he is close to Laurie, Blore etc already.

Always a risk appointing an assistant though.
