Newcastle are going to offer Matt Scott 1.5million over 2 years, so if Blocker wants us to buy a big name prop that's the sort of money you are going to have to spend.
I would prefer if we spent that money on the big 4, Nofo, JJ and co.

Matt Scott is worth double that, The team we could build around him would set us up for 20 years.
- We've had no leadership since 2000…
Matt Scott knows exactly which way to go - And he'll drag the other 13 with him.
His runs are nothing short of inspiring...
I wish we were throwing money at him, Or JWH and the likes....

yep, its obvious when he isnt on the park. Matt can also get a quick PTB if asked as he has 2 running styles.

$750K is a fair value, but I doubt he will come to Sydney

God damn. People were like blocker in previous admins. they ruled with their heart and not head. It's why we are over the cap and cant sign blokes like Moa.

It's easy enough to say sign him or that bloke. But you have to do it within the rules, the constraints of the cap. If blocker really wanted the club to succeed, he would weigh up all the facts and stop sabotaging.

We should be supporting the admin in their task to try to clean up this mess as soon as possible, while still fielding a decent team. If we hadn't of cleared it up this year, we would be saying goodbye to ted, Moses or woodsy!

Thank god hard unpopular decisions we're made by people looking at the big picture, not the minutiae like blocker is.

Matt Scott is already 31 will be 32 by half way through the season we shouldn't be throwing a fortune at him that would be stupid by any account given he would be almost 33 before his first game.

Blocker has spent the whole off-season being bitter to the admin because of Robbie and moreso what happened to Curtis and that Block doesn't have a job at the tigers. He is a dial a comment and really sadly becoming more and more of an idiot.

Our front row rotation of Woods, Grant, Sue and Ava is really good and getting better but especially so with the Juniors we have coming through at prop JJ, Paseka, Tatola, etc

How quickly Blocker forgot about Tapau…. **and of course Grant in 2016 (esp the first half)..**..

Yep,he was our best Fwd. for the first few Months then got a couple of bad knocks and struggled a bit,no reason not to keep him for another season or 2.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Felise surpass Ava & Grant by the end of next year. No offense to Blocker, I'm sure most people would like Moa in the team, but we have more important areas to focus on.

Well let's hope the big 4 think a bit like Blocker - ie with their heart and remain loyal to the club - because if it's simply about money and success we have got our work cut out in keeping them regardless of the new found approach of the current administration.

All blocker has done is up woodsy's asking price, conditions or encourage him to look elsewhere when he is currently in contract discussions.

Great support there block. Well thought out…. You clever fella.

Anyone that rates out pack clearly doesn't watch the other teams belting it…
Bag Blocker all you like - He's not wrong....

What is that famous saying "Once you feel you finally have enough props , go buy another one "

As I said I feel the more quality backrowers you have the better you will be off in the modern game with the reductions in the interchange coming

Look at the top clubs , they all have a plethora of quality backrowers in their sides and on the bench

Aw yeah? We should get ourselves a couple.

Exactly, But Woods HAS been carrying our pack for years….
Seen games where he's made over 200m and we still got rolled up the guts.

Any tom, duck or harry can see that.

Of course he isn't wrong, anyone would be happy if we signed a big prop. We need it. But if signing one cost us money for woods resigning, because we had gone with back loading again, it wouldn't exactly be clever. Blocker isn't thinking about the cap at all and he's putting even more pressure on it with his comments.

So, to sum up. He's working against exactly what he is complaining about. Pretty damn dumb.

The good sides have least two SOO quality back rowers or internationals plus another four NRL standard players. At this stage we have nothing like that. Our back row would struggle to make the better sides bench barring maybe ET and even he we got out of reserve grade at Penrith

A couple of million dollars to buy a couple of quality backrowers these days unfortunately for clubs like WT.

We're like the fat kid with his facd pressed up against the window of the cheesecake factory whose parents are on welfare and can't afford such luxuries.

Just wait till next year. We'll finally have some room to enter the market. Particularly if we don't sign all 4…

I don't think we'll be disadvantaged money wise with Harry on tpas, we're not poor. Only hamstrung by previous admins back loading.

Every club spends the cap, it's the money outside that which we need to compete with, and the facilities.

Harry and the COE will make us competitive.

That's the not so often mentioned silver lining. If these guys decide to leave we'll have an absolute war chest for 2018.

Yeah I totally agree hammertime.

The Club tried desperately to offload Farah and give us more room in the Cap as they could forecast what was ahead as we are now desperate to get ourselves under the Cap if it's to be believed? You can't blame them for trying, we need to operate as a business.

Now there is no one on here that can't work out that the hole we are in is from past Admin management, we haven't signed anyone for crying out loud and thanks to Lawrence that rebuffed his deal cause can you imagine just how much deeper.

Fingers crossed that this will be the last suffering year for us and we can learn from past mistakes in future signings….one can only hope.
