Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

No way, some massive over reactions here. What is the club supposed to do? Sadly his manager is one of the great scumbags who the NRL should've banned for life. Do you keep a player who wants out multiple times and is not that flash? Or do you piss them off to avoid them poisoning the joint and get some cash to put towards a new player or upgrade an existing strong player. Galvin was never going to stick around and to say the club was weak is not true, they tried to sign him, he wasn't keen and is over rated, we move him on, case closed.
What were we supposed to do when Pascoe rolled over on every player that ever got poached under him? The same as what Richo is doing now, roll over, release the player, say how the club received a financial settlement that cannot be revealed due to commercial confidence.

Pascoe copped it in the same situations, but this time it is unavoidable.

Financial settlement are great. All goes to HBG profits with no benefit for the club or fans.

If there is any truth to us being worried about the bullying case, there would have to be much more to it than just instagram posts.
I dont think we are worried as such
but its a drain on time, resources and $$ that will drag out.. for a long time, and take away from our function as a footy club to win games..

I have asked the question before, who is funding the bullying legal case from camp galvin?

Spot on mate I did 6 years in a board of a bowling club , most meetings were done by 8.30 pm with a 6 pm start , but some did go past it pending what was on the agenda and how much disagreement may be involved , I think the latest one was about 10 pm , def no full time bell
My experience is if you tell everyone the catering staff has to discontinue service at a certain time.it will set an end date on these sort of mtgs...about 45 mins earlier(that wld be 3 alcohilic beverages)
And get em to turn the temperature up in the oven so the food smells waft across the corridoor into the Board room!!!

Yeah we have a million dollars to give to other players for 2027. But for this year and next, not that much. Would be enough for a mid-tier player at best. A player swap and cash exemption would be good.
Do you think the offer from Richo was real or he was taking the P!ss because he new Galvin was gone ?

I believe he made the offer knowing Moses did not want to look at it

A bit of a back hand to Moses

Beggers can't be choosers.

It's likely well get nothing.
Id rather have $$ than an out of sorts Hopgood,,,and quite a bit
Were losing a $1mill player(cough) which were currently paying $300k for
The legal case is a distraction, but totally without merit..we can delay that
So net net,Id be quite prepared to stand him down from all grades until above issues are resolved to OUR total satisfaction..weve got about 40% of this years contract to be paid...$120k??
Worth pissing away to make a stance against this grub

The Parramatta Eels have confirmed four re-signings, with star centre Will Penisini, forwards Sam Tuivaiti and Toni Mataele, and young half Ronald Volkman all committing to the club.

Penisini is the biggest name of the four, committing his future to the Eels until at least the end of 2026 and taking up a player option in his favour in doing so.

It seens there are quite a few Cove Agency clients on the books of the Parramatta Eels at the moment.
It would appear they are now the preferred destination for Isaac Moses.
