Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

Yeh exactly. I'd say "buying" a player for $700k who gives us $700k of value and then re-selling him to someone else would be better than getting a million dollars we can't even use in our cap.

If Galvin is "worth" $1m to a team, we need to get $1m in players from them, even if it is 3 or 4 players.

Otherwise, having Galvin as a back up half in case Luai or Latu go down for the next year and a half is the better option.

He just cannot be our first choice 5/8.

Penrith actually did the same thing with I Katoa before he went to Dolphins. That has been conveniently forgotten by everyone. They went on record to publicly say we won't be picking him in first grade, or something to that extent.
I like the way you talk...
But were not getting a 1m player for Galvin.
Lets be clear. Cash does nothing for us. We need cap above his value (not sure if possible) or a player swap
If he is going bulldogs, then lets pick someone who will perform where we are deficient.

Kikau really would solve some problems in our front row. Yes not a 1m player, but one that we could swap Galvin for and get. Critta would ofcourse be our nr1, Burton would be a target too, maybe Sexton, Max king comes to mind...

I think though Kikau would take some of the workload off May and allow him to do a 60min rotation. He is not worth a 1m pricetag, but he would be someone I would swap for Galvin.

Kikau is a backrower

But yes, definitely improves us dramatically

Feel like this saga has the stench of Gus all over it. I have no inside knowledge, but i reakon he will end up at the dogs. Moses and Galvin were reportedly seen meeting up with Gus a week or so after this whole thing blew up. Gus played it as a welfare check, I call bulls.hit.
I said all along Bulldogs would get him. Never believed for one second that Parra would. Gus has been sniffing round like a horny stalker for a year now.

And this is why there should be a rule for no media role if you are employed at a club

I feel the same with braith and I know everyone is cheering him on …. But he is only supporting the tigers on this issue because it’s a against a fellow player agent

I like Latu, but he isn’t ready to play first grade week in week out yet.
He’s played 27 games of senior footy across the past 3 seasons.
The guy is struggling through a horrible injury run.
The timing is awful. We need Bud back.

WGD Moses last night told his client Sharon that Galvin won’t leave Tigers this year.

Any chance the Tigers are cutting him loose because he’s out of form and some of his suitors might have lost a bit of interest? Would be funny if he cops a hit financially.
