OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Think Manly really stuffed the whole DCE thing up....and he was definitey good for another 2 years ,and hes a critical component of their team.Irreplacable
Having said that, they mite have just got lucky having $$ to spend in an IMoses controlled team..
Parra have probably eliminated themselves for Galvin with their disappointing on field performances..
Dogs cant possibly have a million /year to throw around
Dragons a remote chance..
And Roosters contingent on where DCE goes
If were competitive on and off the park were as good a chance as any
and maybe we give Latu back to Eagles to self fund it ..

That’s a huge betrayal of the large family then if true . I’m sure his manager and the family will be on the phones to the football department .
That’s the reason they took them to brookvale in the first place . Onitoni was supposed to have the rail ride into firsts , only we went and blooded Galvin and bought luai .
I mean stranger things and all that , but that’s pretty low .
brooks won't be at manly post 2028 (if not earlier, St Merge) I'd they do sign galvin the timing will be there for Large to take over in 27

I'd say about 5 minutes after they finish trawling through this forum. 🤣
I just hate how manly are allowed to sneak their way into the west and convince the young islander boys there’s no future out west . They’ve been doing it for at least 25 years .
We are fighting fire with fire now because we have the Benji t r u m p card. He’s like if a young Argentinian kid was being recruited by Lionel Messi or Maradonna . It would be all over before it began .
Especially if he starts getting wins .
Also the COE not being in the south west is actually a good thing for recruitment and retention.
It gives the optics that you’re making it out … even though it’s only an hr trip in traffic . Which is probably what a big chunk of the manly allure would be . I know when I grew up , the dream of living on the beach was a huge one .
The same can be said for moving to the inner west . Although a different lifestyle of course .

Every club scouts good prospects from outside of their boundaries and have done for a lot longer than 25 years.I can remember back in the "residential qualification days" where players would "rent a room" somewhere just inside a clubs boundary and list it as their home just so they could qualify. All clubs did it without exception.

Journalism is killing the NRL
Unfortunately it's actually not. NRL is doing better and better with public engagement and TV rights / sponsorship, via the 24-hour news cycle.

For example NRL takes the Kickoff to Vegas now because it generates content and gets eyeballs on the first round ahead of the AFL, not because they make money from it.

When I was a lad, in the paper was the game-day match report, the injury report, then bugger all until Tuesday when the teams were released, then bugger all until the game previews the next on Friday.

Contract hullaballoo only came up when the player's contract was ending, not 20 months in advance. And if it wasn't a famous player, there was no contract hullabaloo whatsoever.
