As well as galvin maybe making the australian team with cleary and moses having surgery and munster a bit shaky with injuries and form.Crichton played for samoa last year in the pacific championship and still delivered for dogs. We just need him fit for the preseason to lead standards. Does this mean we should not allow any players to play internationals? I'm sure latu could do with playing for tonga with his brothers. I’ve got a feeling Seyfarth will captain the Kangaroos this year.As well as galvin maybe making the australian team with cleary and moses having surgery and munster a bit shaky with injuries and form.
Maybe with Latrell out young
Makaseni or Large might be a chance as well 😉
I would say that Canberra are still (just) in contention due to factors other than Strange.Yes, but Ethan playing without a halfback and admittedly falling away a bit still has his team in contention.
Lachy playing sporadically without a halfback will be lucky not to get the spoon.
I think people sometimes confuse individual effort with capability to get a group working together. A lot of fans see Galvins stats and high involvement and are convinced he is playing well. You then ask them if that is the case, why is our attack so poor? The answers always blame others…what they are saying is that this team is largely made up by seasoned first graders who don’t know what they are doing, yet a kid straight out of school does. If you watch him closely though, he throws 100 darts at the board per game with maybe 4 or 5 actually hitting the scoring section. Most of them hit the bricks.I would say that Canberra are still (just) in contention due to factors other than Strange.
Just as the Tigers are in contention (and likely) for the spoon due to factors other than Galvin.
Galvin vs Strange

Tackle Breaks 47 82
Forced Dr. Outs 8 3
Tackle Eff. 92.8% 86.4%
Fairly balanced, though I'd say that on pure output, Lachlan has him covered.
Also playing in an objectively less experienced side and a probably well-assumed 'worse' side, so less tools to use in attack and more exposed in defence, for and against speak to that.
Ethan is also a year older than Galvin.
I think both statistically, and the eye test, at least for mine, say that, whilst Strange is a dynamic and strong runner of the football and a great young prospect, Lachlan has the more well-rounded game, on both sides of the ball, is more creative and produces more points.
That's in spite of him being 'sporadic' at times, which I agree with.
My bad. Although I am sure he manipulated things for years beyond his tenure to ensure a Rorters side with a cap value over 15 millYou're not thinking of Schubert, are you? He's long gone.

Players like Strange facilitate the effective play of their outside backs far better as they are more structured in their dedication to the game plan. This is also why they have better results.
No I am not, just saying with him leaving the 3 peat and going to the southern 3 peat. And starting at a new club for his first time it would be great for one season for him to relinquish his rep duties just for this off season! He’s the game changer and fir him ti drive the standards, what better way to do this?!?Crichton played for samoa last year in the pacific championship and still delivered for dogs. Wrong. He can overplay his hand at times but he's the ONLY attack at times. Sezer literally never runs the ball. Bula is good running off balls but not playmaking, Koroisau's had a fair few shocking decisions with his passing. Lachie had a period where his try assists were drying up, but you can expect that from a youngsterThe disjointed, instructured attack has largely come from Galvin.
None of what you said proves I’m wrong.Wrong. He can overplay his hand at times but he's the ONLY attack at times. Sezer literally never runs the ball. You’ve only had to watch our centres (and wingers) butcher tries all year to see where the true problems lie. It happened at least three times in one half against Manly. Simple opportunity ruined by poor execution. Chances that NRL outside backs are supposed to ice in their sleep and ours just kook them. Blaming halves for that is a cop out.Wrong. When they aren’t set up properly it’s hard to ice them. You’ve only had to watch our centres (and wingers) butcher tries all year to see where the true problems lie. I suppose you could say that it is silly when you look at Les Boyd being inducted into the Hall of Fame.Silly rule really, I remember the year Andrew Johns was suspended for giving Preston Campbell a forearm. Johns was a walk in for the Dally m medal but because he was suspended Campbell ended up winning it. Instead of being best and fairest there should be 2 awards. One for the best and one for the fairest. In terms of rookie of the year it's just silly. Imo he's been by far the best rookie all year a complete stand out in the last placed team but gets no recognition because of a hip drop. Imo whoever wins it only wins it by default.
I agree with a lot of your takes but not this one. When they aren’t set up properly it’s hard to ice them.
The cop out is blaming the guys on the end of the line who have no room to move or still have to beat 3 cover defenders because they weren’t engaged properly back in field.
When we get it right, our wingers have no problem finishing.
