Yeah he was. Around the time of the dragons loss from memory. He had the broken hand at the time.He was asking for a release up until mid last year wasn't he?

Owch, that is one high shot.
Yep, well said.Galvin and Luai play two different styles and Galvin is most certainly not trying to be Cleary either so I think they will simply play off each other. The second trial probably provided an inkling as to what is likely to happen. There were times when the halves slid across in attack as the play moved laterally across the paddock keeping the edge combinatiosn together and also a few times where Galvin would sweep around in a fullback type move.
I think the key takeaway is that we won't be playing a left and right side half they will react to what they see opening in front of them as opposed to a conflict of calls. It may be a bit clunky at first but it will come together the longer they play. I have no doubt that Luai will be prioritised over Galvin, but the X factor is probably Api at 9 as he reeds the play well and will make decisions from there as to who gets priority service.
That will be exciting to watch as the combinations gel. We have real potential to deliver points if we get the lines right and AD (in the short term) can keep his head in the game. In the fullness of time, with Galvin's fitness, I can see a sweep involving both him and Bula outside of Romey being able to produce a four on two opportunity from 40 out.
Our biggest issue isn't the conflict of two dominant voices in attack; it will be our ability to defend. I have concerns about the fragility of our edge defence with the fit centre combinations we can currently field.
That sounds plausible, but given the belief around Galvin he is going to have more than a couple of options to consider and they will all be favourable.FWIW, I work with a prominent player Agents son (name withheld) and he often shares at high level some intel on clubs…apparently the Eels are not fussed if Brown leaves, they were not convinced by Browns performances last year when. Moses was out injured….they are prepared to throw up to $1.4m a season to lure Galvin to partner Moses for the next 10 years…The Galvin family and his Manager are aware of their intentions

Very hard to build and retain a strong roster if you are paying 3 million of your cap on your 6 and 7.10 years,
Do they know Moses is 30 already?
Sounds likely though.
Weather they're the best fit for him will need to be determined though.
1.4+1.4 in the halves though might stretch them!
Galvin can’t play for another club until 2027, that year Moses will be 33. So Moses is going to play for NRL until he’s 43?FWIW, I work with a prominent player Agents son (name withheld) and he often shares at high level some intel on clubs…apparently the Eels are not fussed if Brown leaves, they were not convinced by Browns performances last year when. I'd say the 10 years reference is for Galvin. - to partner Moses when and if it happensGalvin can’t play for another club until 2027, that year Moses will be 33. So Moses is going to play for NRL until he’s 43?
You should email that to RichoFWIW, I work with a prominent player Agents son (name withheld) and he often shares at high level some intel on clubs…apparently the Eels are not fussed if Brown leaves, they were not convinced by Browns performances last year when. It would be a lively dressing room where one player is getting 1.4m per season while others, perhaps equally or more talented, are on less.Very hard to build and retain a strong roster if you are paying 3 million of your cap on your 6 and 7.
You think Galvin is hanging around if he’s getting 1.4 at eels? Surely we wouldn’t match that. It’s stupid. (Of course it’s only speculation)Galvin can’t play for another club until 2027, that year Moses will be 33. So Moses is going to play for NRL until he’s 43?
Cap will rise significantly after the next Broadcast deal...$1.4m per season will be likes today's $900k.Very hard to build and retain a strong roster if you are paying 3 million of your cap on your 6 and 7.
He is across thisYou should email that to Richo
having potentially $2.7 million of your cap tied up in the halves is salary cap suicide. if they are willing to pay that and bend their roster completely out of shape, let them.FWIW, I work with a prominent player Agents son (name withheld) and he often shares at high level some intel on clubs…apparently the Eels are not fussed if Brown leaves, they were not convinced by Browns performances last year when. Yes this figure could be reached when the next deal happens but for the elite player in his prime at mid 20s, Galvan is only 20 this year and is still growing it would be dangerous to offer even 1mill right now.Cap will rise significantly after the next Broadcast deal...$1.4m per season will be likes today's $900k.
We don't have to match it. He's contracted until end of 2026 at a favourable salary for the club. You think Galvin is hanging around if he’s getting 1.4 at eels? Surely we wouldn’t match that. It’s stupid. (Of course it’s only speculation)
I have raised this up before jr paying that kind of money only reduces the quality of the rest of the top 30.having potentially $2.7 million of your cap tied up in the halves is salary cap suicide. if they are willing to pay that and bend their roster completely out of shape, let them.
2028 the PNG team enters the competition. The pot has to extend further albeit the Govt will provide $600m. There are also another 29 players in the squad.Cap will rise significantly after the next Broadcast deal...$1.4m per season will be likes today's $900k.
