OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

What strikes me as odd about the Bulldogs being interested aside from Gus vehemently saying they weren’t going down that path is …

Critta is captain & Kikau also one of the leaders, both very close friends of Luai. Surely they would not be impressed with Galvin’s behaviour to welcome him with open arms.
It makes me wonder if the Roosters arent considering a play. Galvin fits the roosters image. Unlike May and Brandon smith (who are both great players).

Feel like @Tucker has been pretty consistent in his opinion. I think maybe Galvin went better than he initially expected but all this criticism of his opinions just seems like bitterness about the Galvin situation and wanting everyone to be bagging him.

I don't agree with the club's backflip on Galvin in now letting him go for cheap. I think we should just drop him and let him play reserve grade unless we get a decent player in return. At some point we have to take a stand with these contracts otherwise managers and clubs are just going to keep playing these games. This is the perfect situation for it as he's on a small contract.

We made the same mistake with Cleary, Moses, aloioa, Matterson. It wouldn't be an ideal situation but the club has to eventually take a stand. We always talk tough and then immediately cave in, it looks so weak.

He probably came here knowing with a weaker roster/team he could probably make it through and then move to the destination he wants. Something we would all do in our careers to get ahead.
The way they have tried to agitate for release early is poor form for anyone in their respective careers and as a professional, but the piss weak, bias NRL allow it.
Yes I too hope it works out really poorly for him in the future and hope the football Gods rain down the pain on the Galvouts for eternity.
As much as I would prefer to see Galvin out of here yesterday, you wishing him pain for eternity is really poor form.

Amen brother, love Richo’s take on the latest happenings

The money isn't an issue because Gus has already told them that he will be the biggest money earner in the history of the NRL and his manager would be telling him the same - this contract will set you up for the big ones ahead.
He had no intention of ever signing with us - he has been meeting with Mitchell M and Gus - what young junior player does that with a career path laid out for them at the club they are signed at unless they want out?
His life his choice.
Yes. That’s been obvious for quite a while now.

I still don’t get how TDS can throw some really poor passes from dummy half. And some of them even forward. Then there is the element of him trying to kick at the wrong times. Tbh, he is trying too hard to be like Robbie
At this stage id still put Liddle ahead of TDS
Well..Liddle threw/throws a terrible pass from d/h which slows attack and is predictable, but was surprisingly quick, and cld burrow over near the line.Simpkin same without the speed
Haven't got TDS figured yet..has more vision than those 2 but he's no Harry Grant
U can understand his frustration behind Api,but show us why u shldnt be??

Perth Bear In waiting

The forum hates outlying opinions.
Opinions are fine.

Unfortunately, somone like Tucker digs himself a hole by holding others to high standards, but when someone does the same to him, he comes back with statements that deflect from answering the question, generally starts belittling the person or suggests that they are carrying on like a schoolgirl.

Its a shame because i am sure there are some valid points in there, but it's hard to engage when there are different sets of rules and standards that anyone who engages with him has to adhere too...

If I was in TDS’s shoes, I would be going to the market place and testing my value and seeing what opportunities are out there to. We are entering a massive silly season with new clubs scouting for players creating a big spike in demand and when demand out strips supply by some margin, it forces price up up up.

Also if a club can offer him a starting gig why would he not consider it. Of course I can why the club would want to extend Api but I think they will have a lot of trouble selling the idea to TDS

Don’t play the victim.
I’ve debated the topic from day dot. Your retorts became more abusive the more desperate you got.
You have provided nothing to change my opinion on this subjec…merely rehashing what people far more intelligent than you have already said weeks ago that has largely been debunked by all major players in this saga.
Your distinct lack of understanding has clouded your judgement, so you resort to posting unsubstantiated and usually misleading information as fact.
I asked you to prove some of your allegations and instead of trying to do so, you got upset. That’s because it’s all opinion and you don’t like hearing that it might be incorrect. Your interpretation of events may be wrong.

I have no issue with him testing his value but that article suggested an ultimatum had been given to the club. That is not okay. We have Haywood until end of 28 and if TDS wants to put himself out there, the club needs to prioritise the player who has tenure.
