The pass wasn't so horrible, it was the standing still that irks.

Galvin does this a lot, he did it at Tigers too: for all his effort on the ball he actually gets quite lazy when off the ball. I.e. he loves taking a run or throwing a pass, loves backing up and chasing a kick, but not super interested in cover defence or trailing back. He is basically always either sniffing around for the ball, or standing still.

I think actually some of the first-half passes to Kikau were worse than the one in the clip. There was one he threw behind Kikau's back and then (again) waved his arms at Kikau in frustration. I suppose you have to acknowledge the kid's confidence/arrogance that he throws a speculator and then gets shitty with a 6ft 5", 115 kg multiple premiership and Dally M position winner.

There's no shortage of teams I hate.

If Dogs start playing good, then I'll enjoy Moses failing at Parra, if not then Cleary failing at Penrith.

If they're all playing good, then i don't know.. maybe Tigers can jag a couple of wins by then.
 
I'll point out that before the news of Galvin going to Bulldogs, Doggies were 9W 1L, and since that news they are 2W 3L including an arse-kicking by Dolphins and a late capitulation to Broncos.

And prior to Galvin announcing he'd leave Tigers, we were 3W 3L; since then we've gone 2W 7L.

Obviously there are multiple factors but there can be no argument that the departure of Galvin coincided of a crash in what had been reasonable Tigers club form, and his arrival at Bulldogs has derailed their form.

Which is of course to be expected, a young half with high pressure and limited experience - you take him out of the side where he trained all offseason and played last year, there's probably not an immediate fix. And then when he is thrust into a roster that leads to the departure of their starting half and hooker, plus shifting their 5/8th to centres, it's not going to be ideal unless they are a long-term proven professional. It will inevitably cause disharmony.

But also, Galvin is a destabilising twat.

In an interview earlier this season Lachlan said that ppl at the club had been talking about moving him into the forwards and that he was trying to delay that as long as possible..

Given this context, to claim that his well prepared media statement calling out his development as a half "doesn't mean anything", just means you are ignoring the facts being presented to you.

The Dogs forum is going off. If anything they are smarter than our fans. They have picked up on his erratic, hail mary style plays within 3 weeks which some of our fans didn't see until he signed elsewhere. If he had signed for 5 years at $1.2 million for us it would of been a horrible salary cap blunder. At the moment he is worth $300k, and I don't see his potential exceeding $700k (if that)

I can see both sides of the argument on this one.

You have admitted yourself that he was never going to stay and doesn’t have the personality of a leader.
If you see that, and others see that, then it stands to reason that the club also did?
Under this acknowledgement, the actions around his resigning did not make sense.

He wasnt at the level we needed him at last year and no one gave a shit.
Fans thought he was a god, ex players thought he was a future Test player.
Dogs will manage him.

As long as one of the lads puts a shot on him, I don't care if we lose by 60.. Galvin isn't the reason the dogs are doing well...

If last night is anything to go by he will back in KOE for the rest of the season and only called upon if they have injuries.

If we lose by 60, it doesn’t matter how many shots are put on him.
He still wins.
The only pure form of revenge is for the club to be more successful than the one he went to.

As much I hate him, I’m sure he’s tough enough to take a shot. In this day and age, I’m not sure what you would be expecting. It’s not the 80’s. You know at most all that will happen is a few players may mouth off at him. And if they are feeling really game, maybe a bit of push and shove. Then shake hands with him at FT.
 
He wasn't as bad as people are saying last night.

Weird game. Dogs could've been up by more and then totally switched off in the last 15 along with a Mam masterclass.
