Gus was played.
Looking back….after Galvin’s camp put a dossier together on Benji. Richo needed to move Galvin away from the club..and forced an early release. From that moment Gus was played.
Gus didnt want to disrupt everything that got the Bulldogs to top of the competition..however he was so far into his seductive courting ritual that his ego wouldn’t allow hm to do anything else but blow up his team for a young rookie.

Marshall allowed him to play with freedom which best showcased his skills. Then again Marshall is one of the greatest 5/8s of all time and when it comes to getting the best out of a young 5/8, Marshall can. Pity Gould and Galvin didn't recognise his long term interests were best served in remaining under Marshall's coaching.

I never saw the what Siro jr ever brought to the table as a footballer. He improved a bit towards the end of his career at Manly. He played some solid footy. Playing for us, he was a total nepo baby.
