In all the comments Ive seen (understandably) moaning about our dummy half prospects for next year and discussing makeshift fixarounds involving Marshall, Reynolds & Mbye, I havent seen a single suggestion that Walters may be the answer. He was good enough to play first grade last year at the Storm (I think at 5/8) and I think the majority of his QCup was at 9. he might be Madges ace up his sleeve.

was walters any good last year? haven't seen him play. How many games he play for the storm this year?

I think it was only 1 and I saw that game, he came off the bench and from memory played at 6. Looked OK but not groundbreaking. My worry with him is he seems to be a late bloomer, but Ill be hopeful until I see otherwise.

fingers crossed he will be a superstar for us. we need something positive coming into 2020

Two games. One at 5/8 and the other was 3 mins from the bench. Hasnt played nine in the Qld cup either

Well he has...0:21 & 0:33
https://youtu.be/e_xnO8xQkr4

he's a very different type of player to his old man

i suppose versatility is a positive. hope he is the goods for us

Why would anyone have given up on LM?

The fact people expect him to jump into the first contract he gets offered without considering other options is as stupid as it is bewildering.

No current Origin player will have us as their first preference. Plain and simple. We fail every season. Why would he not wait to see what else is out there before he considers a highly risky decision like joining a club like us?

He's only been on the market for barely a month...

If Moylan comes as the second of two big signings then that would be excellent.
I just don’t want him to be THE major signing.

I don’t particularly want Moylan anywhere near our club over rated grub.

We might not have given up on LM...but I think he may have given up on us.
He will end up back at the Chooks for sure and mid season sign a extension for unders...like most other chooks

All of our dummy half options for next year are ball players and a team does need everyone in the the spine to have the same skills.

If Corey Thompson defends well, defuses kicks, organises the defensive line and provides support to the forwards, then a coach can work with that.

Tedesco does not create many tries with his ball playing, he has improved but he scores most of his tries as a support runner when other players make a break.

Tedesco is a fantastic player but has strengths and weaknesses like everyone else

There is no one in the NRL who is 100% perfect

Moylan has shown who he really is at the Sharks. Everyone banking on a so-called form reversal will be disappointed. His Panthers from was an aberration. Please believe him when he demonstrates who he really is and stop pretending he is a good buy simply because we can’t get anyone else.

Moylan had 8 try assists in 11 games at fullback last year. **Thompson had 1 for the entire season (22 games of which 12 were at fullback).**

Anyone defending Cory needs to read that stat line again and again and again until they realise just how poor a FB he is. Tries very hard and puts him body on the line...but nowhere near a modern day FB in terms of being a key part of a spine.

Don't think anyone is saying he is one of the top line FB's as are Teddy, Turbo etc.

He is (and this is subjective....Que Avo) imo. a better FB than Moylan ah la Sharks form - forget form at the Riff, that was ages ago now and he is not a shadow of himself now nor as medically fine tuned as he was then.

He may have had 8 try assists - he also dropped may bombs (whilst at FB) and I saw them with my own eyes. He is absolutely hopeless in defence (I can just see him tackling JT, yeah! right.

Only thing he has going for him is - "having a punchable face.... That is if you are that way inclined).

Signing this 'Princess' would set us back 3 years.

You didn't see Cameron Smith or Jonathan Thurston do much wrong

You might want to do a little more research.

Not many weaknesses. He’s awesome. Still love watching him play.

You might want to do a little more research.

On occasions, Thurston was little more than a speed hump in defence.

Towards the end, much of his attacking playbook was tired and easily read by defences.
