I know Arrows family and he isn’t moving to Sydney until 2021.
Based on that, I’d say the Titans are not going to pursue LM.
Still leaves the Rabbitohs that would seem very likely to be able to afford 2 major signings over the next two years.
Likelihood of signing LM with Burgi’s money as it would take less to sign him then it would take for us to secure him.
Then they have the option of signing Arrow for 21 with a bit of player movement next year. Likely Gagai leaving at the end of next season.
I think as some have mentioned if LM signs with us his doing so in a similar frame to Johnathan Thurston building a legacy at the cows. Then again if it never went pear shaped at the Bulldogs would that move ever of happened. Thurston was 20-21 years old when he moved to NQ. I doubt even he thought about it as the ultimate challenge. It was probably more a move for a change of lifestyle and to get constant game time as they had no halfback.
Some of the things that LM can be guaranteed being with us. But then again Souths never really settled on a fullback all year. So he can play their at fullback 2.
People are quick to remind me that Souths are in need of buying more forwards. Due to the loss of the following.
Sutton
G Burgess
S Burgess
However only Sutton out of the 3 above played close to 80mims in the team each game last year.
G Burgess played about 13 games due to suspension and injury and Sam Burgess played about 19 out of 24.
Last year they bought in
Liam Knight
Ethan Lowe.
Jayden Sua
Tom Amone.
Kurt Dillion
Whilst the top two of that list had a great debut season the following 2nd year forwards also had breakout years.
Cam Murray
Junior Tatola
In addition constant Tom Burgess had a solid year.
And you round out the pack with Mark Nicholls essentially our Eisenhuth equivalent.
Now you tell me if that forward pack includes Arrow at some stage that they shouldn’t buy LM but instead add even more forwards to have a competitive pack.
