The Wests Tigers have the worst management and negotiating skills of any club within the NRL. Two weeks ago they hard-balled Latrell Mitchell, removing their $1 million dollar per season offer. Now they are set to re-open negotiations with a starting offer of $1.1 million dollars.

I wouldn’t have a clue how to run mechanical repairs on a car, on a treadmill, or anything that requires common skills a lot of people should have. Regardless, even I know the Tigers stink at negotiations and have gotten it wrong on multiple occasions this decade.

The above is a list of great players the club has released that went on to have great success at rival clubs.

**Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis has confirmed the club will sign Latrell Mitchell from the 2020 season onwards.** He also said Roosters chairman Nick Politis is open to this, although that remains to be confirmed.

Bringing Mitchell in is obviously a great decision, however the timing is absolutely poor. Why pull your initial offer of $1 million per season when you offered it knowing full well he was talking with other clubs?
_
“We are actively in the market considering a number of options that are available to us and if Latrell is to be one of those options he is more than welcome to reach out to us,” Hagipantelis said.
_
“I have spoken to Nick Politis and I don’t have any doubt (Latrell would be released, effective immediately), I am sure Nick would be supportive of that.”
_
The signing of Latrell is not in question. I believe that is a great move for the Concord based club. Despite this, they have once again shown they stink as business and will be forced to increase their original offer.

💬Would Latrell be the Tigers best singing in the club’s history?
